I don't think it is anything very special. They are just allowing you to use
your comp dollars at a gas station instead of using them for food in their
restaurants.
----I believe Poker Palace in North LV has a gas card promotion this month,
trading in $25 in points for a $50 gas card.

Typical brain-dead bureaucratic money grab.
While I agree that stingier F&B comps are in our future (and said as much on last Thursday's radio show), I don't understand what makes this a stupid ruling or a brain-dead bureaucratic money grab. States need to generate income from somewhere, and everybody rathers that "other people" are the ones footing the bill. To most non-gamblers it makes sense to tax casinos more. (And to most non-smokers it makes sense to tax smokers more. And to most non-drinkers . . . etc.) Is it just because it hurts us that it's a "stupid ruling?" Or do you have a less-self-centered argument as well? Bob

Re: [vpFREE] Re: Harrah's/Harvey's Lake Tahoe
I am not saying not to travel with your children. I have four and travel with them. A casino is just not where I would take them. I seem to remember a biker shootout, a child going to the restroom and never coming out...to each their own but I consider my children my most precious gifts. Stay somewhere else and take turns going to the casino if need be. I can't ever remember seeing a nine-month-old in a casino. There are no baby changing stations in the restrooms or highchairs in the food areas so how is this child friendly? Just saying.

Call me old fashioned but back in my days parents were supposed to be
responsible adults. You might want to check with Grandma before bringing her
grandbaby to a casino. I know they did it in the movie The Hangover, but that
was as a joke. Also, you should probably call Gambler's Anonymous for
advice on how to gamble with a baby:

[vpFREE] Caesars play accounting intelligence needed
Hi there,
I've got a (comped) trip coming up to a Caesars property in N NV and would like to know how they currently record/"reward" play. Really, all I'm trying to do is optimize the way they view my coin in.
If I stay for three nights, and plan on putting a total of $X through VP, how do the biases fall in relation to things such as ...
* Is it better to do all my play on one day, spread X across three or four days?
* Is it better to spend X in multiple smaller denomination plays, or push it through on fewer larger denomination plays?
* Is there any advantage to playing a smaller theoretical payback machine (say 8/5 bonus) over one that is theoretically better (e.g. 9/6 JoB).
* Is Caesars expecting/assuming a certain amount of coin in?
* Can/should I just ask a host these questions directly?
I'm sure you get the idea of what I'm looking for here ... It all feels very black-boxy to me ... I welcome, and thank in advance, any educated opinion or informed guesses you collectively have.
Feel free to email me directly if you'd rather not share your insight with the list,
m.

Casinos bar players all the time based on the word of third party information gatherers like OSN. If it happens to you I suggest you file a privacy complaint with the FTC. Unfortunately unless you in one of the "enlightened" jurisdictions like Missouri or New Jersey, being barred for being exceedingly lucky or skillful is still a fact of life.

Even in the unlikely event bans are banned there is nothing to prevent the house from refusing to give any slot club benefits such as CB, comps, promotions, welfare checks, etc. to a player.
Which will quickly moot the issue. A thousand hands of $10 9-6 instantly becomes a negative EV of 250 dollars. Not a great way to spend an afternoon in anyones book.
