Anyone know what kind of paytables they have on the VP options on those wireless devices (Cantor Gaming) that they have in the M and Tropicana? I suppose it might vary by property? Could get hard on the eyes those contraptions aren't real big. Unless you can attach it to a computer or tv and use it that way somehow. Just kind of interesting is all.

[vpFREE] Re: I. Nelson Rose - Lies the FBI Tells
Of course there were (are) many cheaters in online poker, but that never stopped skillful players from making big money...or stop mediocre players like myself from having an easy part time job after work and on the weekends. A little common sense goes a long way, it was no different than live, you got to know these players when you played the same kinds of games every day. I seriously doubt I was getting cheated all that much anyway playing small stakes turbos and hypers. Cash games was the big hang out for the crooks and the bots.I held about a 20% roi for 3 years and I was far from a top player so
I never sweated if I got taken a few times.

Re: [vpFREE] Bob Dancer's LV Advisor Column - 23 AUG 2011
Bob states - about Orleans - that, "Without the multipliers, there are no
intelligent plays there." The word 'intelligent' can be subjective. But,
I'd like to know if the following game at Orleans is 'intelligent' or not.
They have quarter triple-play Double Bonus machines, which have separate
progressives royals on each hand (top, bottom, and middle) and another
progressive for a dealt royal. The pay schedule for this game is 9/7/5,
which - according to the Wizard of Odds - makes the return 0.991065 (without
any progressives).
After adding the slot club and the progressives for the various royals,
can't this be considered an intelligent play?

Since you're not playing against the casino in poker then rigging usually wouldn't be at the source. Perhaps that's why paying out have been an issue at some sites.
I've seen several online poker set-ups that have multiple ISP's coming in and a bunch of players who know what each other has, they discuss what to do, etc. In other words, they cheat the others on the site when they can, and they say they are not conspicuous.
There's so many opportunities to be cheated online with zero recourse.

Re: [vpFREE] Ultimate X: Has anyone else seen 9/6 Jacks, 8/5 Bonus, and 10/6/5 DB?
Hey mitch
the multipliers are always best on 10 play, worst on 3 play.
I have never seen those super full pay versions of ULT-X.

I was at the Plaza today. The place is definitely better looking than before the remodel as you can see from the photos in the above news article.
Many of the landmarks have not changed. The cashier, sportsbook and players club are still where they used to be. And the bingo room is already going strong on the 3rd floor. Hash House A Go Go will open 8/31.
Many of the video poker and slot machines were still out of service today. I recognized some of the machines they had before they closed and they have added some new ones.
I looked at all the video poker machines that were in service and not being played. Unfortunately I only found three machines with video poker above 99%. Maybe there will be more decent games on the newer machines.
I'll report what I found today to vpFREE2.com.
Re: [vpFREE] Re: I. Nelson Rose - Lies the FBI Tells
In my ten years of experience with online poker, the games at the major
sites are not rigged. At least they aren't rigged in any way that
A. is detectable by standard statistical analysis of millions of played
hands
B. prevents one from winning oodles of money by playing well
Of course a number of these sites have at this point a quite checkered
history of being able to meet their financial obligations under duress, but
that's another story.

These seem to be solid facts based on enacted laws and case law:
"Since the law was enacted 50 years ago, there have been only one or two
attempts to charge players under the Wire Act. The charges were thrown
out. Courts have ruled the Act means exactly what it says: If you are
not in the business of gambling, you cannot be violating this law. The
other statutes listed by the FBI even more clearly fail to apply to mere
bettors. In fact, "Broadcasting lottery information," doesn't even
directly apply to gambling operators. It is limited to TV and radio
broadcasters. There is no way this law could be used against someone who
is merely making bets using the Internet. Incidentally, courts have held
that sports books do not violate this and other federal anti-lottery
laws. "Lottery," under federal law, is limited to games that are 100
percent chance."

[vpFREE] Ultimate X: Has anyone else seen 9/6 Jacks, 8/5 Bonus, and 10/6/5 DB?
Normally 8/6 Jacks, 7/5 Bonus, and 9/6/5 DB are full-pay for Ultimate.
The multipliers have been dropped a little to keep the percentages under 100%.
Only time I've seen variants on the Ultimate multipliers.
Has anyone else seen this before?

All this piece depicts is an opinion, and when it's Joe Gambler going up against the FBI with an opinion in his pocket, I know who I'm betting on.
People who gamble on the Internet right now just don't get it. If you do anything other than sports betting there's a very good chance the games are rigged. And as soon a I say that I can hear all the bettors saying the usual: "No Way! Why would they put themselves in a position to lose players?" Yeah right--like they're really gonna make it that obvious.
Besides, the whole issue's a mess now and people should have patience. As soon as the US Gov't figures out a way to get their slice by taxing all the slackers who never report their gambling income and losses, it'll be legal.

[vpFREE] XVP: Advantage rental car sale
Advantage has some very good pricing this morning. The time periods I needed for Sept. and Nov. had all class cars at $67 per week plus airport tax. After I made reservations the SUV and smallest cars were back to regular rates. I don't know any details other than the Sept. and Nov. reservations I made.
