[vpFREE] RE: New Hacienda(Boulder Dam Lodge)

I always felt the place was just too for out of the way. The plays there would have to be better than average in order to justify driving that far and from what bob just said it sounds like they aren't. Maybe Dotty's will do some special promotions above the standard Dotty's promos in order to boost traffic.

RE: [vpFREE] Re: New Hacienda(Boulder Dam Lodge)

A supervisor at Dotty's who also works half time at the new casino told me that half the place is EXACTLY like Dotty's --- same games, same slot club, same promos, etc --- while the other half is nothing we'd be interested in. I'm not positive she's a "qualified" observer, but it's the best info I have.

Assuming this is true, that means at the $1 and higher level you'll find 8/5 Bonus, 9/6 Jacks, 9/5 Super Double Bonus, NSU, 9/7 TDB and a few other games in this general range. The slot club "only" goes up to 0.2% (during certain days/hours), so as noted previously you need to be a local and get mailers/promos to make NSU worth over 100% --- although room comps could be worth something.

If you're not local, it's too "out of the way" to visit anyway --- and most locals don't need room comps except very occasionally.

Bob

Another member privately wrote me a suggestion that worked. I posted
my question on the list, besides wanting many possibilities of people
who had the solution, because I assumed I wasn't the only one who was
having the problem. My solution required me to change my security
settings, which I thought I already had done.

Java applications have become increasingly controversial over the past few years since they can give rise to computer security vulnerabilities.

Accordingly, the latest Java versions include a more sophisticated security test.  Ideally, applications should be "signed" via a certificate authenticating that the application can be trusted.

The Java vp analyzer app at wizardofodds.com lacks such a certificate, and therefore it may be the case that Java rejects loading the app unless you manually authorize the website (http://wizardofodds.com) for exception handling via the Java Control Panel.  This can be accessed via the Windows Control Panel -- see http://www.java.com/en/download/help/java_blocked.xml for further guidance.)

[vpFREE] Java Help Needed

For a year or so, I haven't been able to access the video poker
analyzer at the Wizard of Odds' site. It says I need to have Java
installed. I went to a Web site that explained how to install it and,
not only did it say it was installed on my computer, but I carefully
followed the instructions on how to verify that it was installed and I
agree that it's installed.
