Re: [vpFREE] Wynn

This is a place where strong VP play plus a local address can result in a lifetime ban from promotions, including mailers. If you place a high value on being able to play here indefinitely, a mix of slots may not be a bad idea.

[vpFREE] Re: Wynn

This is in answer to Misscraps recent post about Wynn.

It sounds like they have you pegged as a slot player instead of a video poker player since you are getting weekly free play. All local vp players that I know have been getting free play only every other week.

If you're a local, I would definitely use a local address. But tell your host that you are interested in tournaments and events and you should get invites at your level of play.

The Wynn Casino doesn't publicly share their criteria for the mailer levels (and no other casino does that I'm familiar with.) But it's sometimes possible to get this info from a host or other employee.

I read on the LVA News that the Wynn Buffet is planning an "upgrade and remodel" but no word on when this will happen.

I agree that the Wynn Casino is superior to the Vegas CET properties in just about every way.

[vpFREE] Re Tahoe offers

The Caesars system is kind of slow, it takes at least 3-4 months for offers to show up for a trip. So it sounds like not enough time has passed to start getting mailings. A Vegas address won't affect your Tahoe mailings in any way. Give it another month or two.

top things to see and do there? Stroll the Truckee River Walk in downtown Reno. (I'm assuming the river hasn't dried up!)

Re: [vpFREE] CET Lake Tahoe Offers

I was referring to the fact that CET has raised the amount of action per tier credit on the 9/6 Jacks games from $10 to $20 in so many places. I don't go to Lake Tahoe anymore or any other place in Nevada. I'm a happy Montana camper. I just like to keep up on current events.

RE: [vpFREE] Reno, Lake Tahoe questions

Autoslash is good but they don't always get you the best price. I've put my reservation info on autoslash but have been able to find some better deals on my own. It's a matter of time and convenience, though. You can't beat Autoslash for convenience.

As for Payless, be prepared for a rather aggressive upsell on insurance, bigger car and pre paying for gas. Also, if you join their perks club you get 5% off. I think AARP, Entertainment and a few others give you the same discount but if you join Perks, you get the discount when you sign in.

Also, shop Payless the week of your trip. I have them deeply discount rates right before your pick up date.

carrentals.com is now an Expedia company so their offers haven't been as good as they used to be.

Getting the best rental car rate is a bit of an art and there isn't one site that does it all for you. On the plus side, you can realize significant cost savings by investing a little time and effort.

Re: [vpFREE] CET Lake Tahoe Offers

I've been getting quarterly Lake Tahoe offers for several years and have never played there. I thought these were Seven Stars offers generated by my play in Las Vegas and SoCal. Are you saying playing in Lake Tahoe generates no additional offers from those generated by the national marketing department? I remembered reading in the past of people writing about traveling from Las Vegas to Lake Tahoe monthly for free play.
