Comps probably vary by machine. I verified this rate twice on the machine I was playing. Boothling was amazed at small amount versus my coin in and free play accumulation rate and suggested I should speak to a host.

[vpFREE] Re: Odds of back to back Aces

I believe Ernie's answer is for back-to-back dealt aces. Dealt aces have a cycle of 54,145. 4 aces for 8/5 BP have a cycle of about 5108.4, so square that to get about 26,095,751 hands.

Last night at the Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood my was playing $2 8/5 BP. She hit 4 Aces on back to back hands. Can anyone tell me what the odds are of that happening? Thanks.

Damn, damn, DAMN those tight-shut mouths!
The play of the century is out!
9/6 Jacks with .1% cashback!
For some, that is!

I'll have to disband my slot team and sell my Turnberry penthouse.

The Wizard of Odds website has a blackjack calculator to find the house edge for any combination of rules.

I think it has always been true of the vpFREE2.com database and the
original vpFREE database that they list whatever games are reported to
them by users. It's certainly possible to find some better games at a
casino than those listed.

RE: [vpFREE] 2013

I looked in the proposed Treasury Regulations and they not indicate how gambling wins (W2G) forms will be considered. The other potential problem is if they seem to be attacking itemized deductions - if they put a limit of $25,000 (or some other amount) on itemzed deductions are gambling losses of a large amount no longer deductible? As a senior I am getting hammered by the additional medicare costs due to high amount of W2G forms in 2010. Any will be appreciated. Mike

It would seem we all should be talking about this new 3.8% tax in 2013...and how it affects those of us who get a boatload of w-2's during the year....now am I mistaken or will we be OK, because:

here is a story on that 3.8% new "Medicare tax"

In there is a link to the Treasury talking about it,.,..

It seems the tax is imposed on the lesser of two amounts: Net Investment Income or the excess of the modified adjusted gross for the year.

So for me, it seems though since Investment income will be lower, the tax applies to that, and not some pie-in-the-sky numbmer like 3.8% of 1 million?

Anyone have insight?

Current policy for the annual dinner at NOLA is *definitely* $500 for the in-casino restaurants, or $250 for the partner restaurants. Trust me on this.

Of course, that doesn't mean that they won't change the policy next month...

[vpFREE] Re: Caesars LV Trip

I'll reply to myself and chaulk it all up to rookie mistake. Should have checked with the group before we came. 60,000 reward credits in the crappa. If there's a next time, maybe we'll stay here again but play at the Boyd's properties that have plenty of 9/6 JoB and NSUD's games.

Pretty much nothing to play here at Caesars but I did give the $5 9/6 JoB game some play. Ended up playing a $1 9/5 game (much as I hated to). And was hoping with enough play here I could get some of my meals comped. Host I talked with said they use your reward points first and then maybe comp. Well thanks for nothing. If that ends up being the case I wil make it clear with the host that we will not be putting any more money through any machines here(in the future). Oh well, i was trying to kill some time and started playing one of those Black Jack games (that are on many of the VP games). It pays 2/1 for all wins no splitting on doubling. I did ok on it although it seemed like I was getting hammered. Anyone know what the EV of that BJ game might be.
> Did ok on the $5 9/6 JoB game but rough on the nerves. $25 a hand is a bit out of my league. Got a royal on the $1 9/5 game so am going home with a nice chunk of Caesars money. Still wondering if I am going to get stiffed by the host.
