Re: [vpFREE] Re: Want to get 86'd?

I also witnessed the "kid' playing 2 machines. He did not hit the buttons hard, it was sort of like watching someone play the piano. There were one or two empty machines the entire time I played so he was not preventing anyone else from playing so I think we should reserve judgement on calling him a jerk.

I talked to another player sitting next to me and she said he had been playing for hours. She could not believe he was playing accurately. Well after I got my 5000 tier points I was ready to go back to my room for the night. He was still playing so I asked why he was putting so much money through. He said to generate the offers and next he said he puts 5 million through a month.

Now I guess I am a little stunned by this amount so I say you must be local to play so much a month. No he says I fly in twice a month. Now for fun let's assume he has a slight edge with the free play coupons and calculate his Kelly bankroll.

I was also invited to the Take It or Leave It game. There were 25 briefcases with one on a table by the game show emcee.and the others held by Harrahs employees instead of the usual super models. I told my wife that I had a chance because there were very few entries in the drum and they were picking 25 people. The top prize was $5,000 and the minimum was $250. After they called about 12 people they called me and I picked case number 20 which contained $2,000 so I really enjoyed the game.

I have one more item to share. After getting my money and another beer I decided to watch the rest of the game because the $5,000 was not yet picked. Closer to the end with the $5,000 still available a man selects his case and waits to see it open. The case opens with $250 showing and the man instantly gives a dismissive wave of his hand. My wife and I just thought this was so funny. We both practice our dismissive wave and try to use it as often as possible as our private joke.

Can't wait to go back to NOLA!

[vpFREE] Thanks to ljlute60 for the photos

I don't recall seeing anyone by that name posting messages, but the jackpot pics are the stuff of fantasies. Whoever you are, keep 'em coming! I could not imagine playing at that level, but can enjoy it vicariously through the stream of jackpot photos you've provided for so long. I often wonder if other people browse through those, like I do, with jaws dropping ;-)

May you have many more!

I have no problem with someone playing fast. If they're accurate, why wouldn't they want to optimize time at the machine.

Of course, the ones who bang away so hard, that you might think they're instead playing "Whack-A-Mole", are completely obnoxious and a real nuisance to play beside.

As far as the "kid" noted below, it's not his speed that makes him a jerk. It's that he's monopolizing both of two very desirable machines for the sake of a 20% gain in coin-in. That makes him an utter jerk.

Witnessed a kid (male twentysomething) playing two 10-play, $1, NSUD at Harrah's-NO recently. Played very fast for several hours. "Idiot savant" fast. He played so fast I couldn't tell how accurately he was playing. And I have no idea how he did in terms of winning/losing for the session. I did notice he had $3k+ credits on both machines at one point. Couple of hours later one machine was down to $8oo+ while the other was still $3k+.
