What's the proper strategy for Wheel Poker with Quick Quads? Has anyone done an analysis of the game? I checked the WizardofOdds site and he hasnt' written up the game yet. I'm asking because I saw the game at SouthPoint and know that it may be one of the best games there. Thanx for any help!

I'm assuming we can earn the points on a 2x point day for maximum EV? Let's hope so.

Hooters did the same with me a year or so ago. I asked for a "comped
room" and was approved, except that points were used. It wasn't a lot
of money, but it was so outrageous that I went to the Gaming
Commission. They ended up giving me my points back. I asked a host
what would have happened if I had used all my points for free play
before checking out and she said she didn't know.

You're right, Mick! I was thinking about you when I wrote that line. Not disrespectfully. You've managed a life-style I wouldn't want. Fortunately you read the line with good nature and rolled with it. I get inspired by things I hear, see, or read. I have a couple of buddies I write about a LOT. I call them different names each time. Each time they read one of my columns theywonder if they inspired it. Generally they are grateful when I write about something else. I'm sure they are quite happy to give Mick his turn this week. Bob

The same thing happened to my husband and I. Got our "comped" rooms via a mailer from our host and it completely wiped out my points at the end of our trip. Nothing was ever said to us up front about it either. If I had known that, I would have used the point balance for free play instead. Grrr.

I'll take whatever I can get from Harrods. I got the $180 the second week of April and the steak and lobster was pretty good for taking a few mins a day to click the mouse on the game. Still have plenty RC's left over. You are probably right on the socks though.

Re: [vpFREE] Piddly Contest, formerly called Great Free New Contest
Piddly or Great, I'd just like to mention that I'm a big fan of the Riviera. I don't want this place to become a hole in the ground like the Stardust. I'm trying to visit the place more oftern, and I'm trying to steer my out-of-town guests there too. Wouldn't it be great if they installed some decent video poker. Support the Riv.
And speaking of the Stardust, why doesn't Boyd just admit their mistake and put it back? Abandon this Echelon monstrosity and rebuild the Stardust, maybe a little bigger and better, but recognizable. Locals & tourists would flock to the place.

I don't understand what makes this a "great" contest. Do you have any
information as to how many entries are required for them to give away a
certificate? When I looked at it, it appeared that they had 182 entries so
far and that wasn't enough to qualify for one certificate. That implies each
entry is worth less than $1. It may be free to enter, but if you value your
time and gas, this is a negative EV situation. Why should anyone bother? Bob

LVA Question of the Day - 31 MAY 2012
Q: Caesars is spending in excess of $500 million on the Linq
project and is now eyeing Toronto as a potential site for a
new resort. My question is, with all this new building going
on why did they let the Margaritaville Hotel & Casino
project die in Biloxi? After four years it is still just a
huge slab of concrete on the beach. Grand Biloxi is a poor
substitute and does about half the business of the Beau
Rivage or Hard Rock (just one mile down the road) on a
normal weekend.
