The easiest solution to this problem for the Palms or any other casino is to put up a sign saying "One machine per player only" and make the slot people enforce it. Or also put the good machines far apart enough to make it physically impossible to play two machines, by making it a circular bank or alternating good paying machines and bad paying machines on the same bank.
Or my personal favorite, just kick out the people playing two machines and ruining it for everyone else without even giving them a warning. This is actually the simplest solution since there are only very few people that play two machines.
