Hey, Cardfather:
I'm assuming the 5-play dealt royal was at the quarter level. A 5K hit is
definitely something to be excited about, though. My best day was at
Harrah's NOLA when I was playing triple-play dollar NSU. I hit three 4K royals in
one afternoon about three hours apart on the same machine.
Hedy and I are doing well, except for a little side trip to the hospital
for me this Tuesday when I go in for surgery to repair a hernia. It's
ambulatory and I should be fine in a couple of days.
Meanwhile, we've been on a hot streak at Harrah's AC and elsewhere since
the beginning of the year. We've hit aces with a kicker for 2K six times
already as well as a few royals. One set of aces was at the South Point on a
progressive bank for $2,044. It's amazing how streaky DDB can be. But when
the bonus quads are rolling in it sure can be a lot of fun.
We're thinking about spending more time in Vegas, too, especially during
the winter months. The snow and ice in the northeast is starting to really
wear us out.
Nice to hear from you again.
Regards,
CoachVee & Hedy

Hi Coach...
I got you beat. About 4 months before I moved out of Las Vegas. I was
playing in Sam's town after work. They allowed you to play as long as you were
off the clock.
Well, I sat down at a Double Pay machine (remember those?) & picked a DDB
game. I chose a 5 play. I played about 1/2 hour when I was looking at a
dealt 5 play Royal.
My brain didn't comprehend what I was looking at & I tried to toss a card
or 2. Lucky for me the machine locked up. I just sat there & stared &
stared. Could not believe it.
I remember a cocktail waitress walking by & me stopping her & asking for a
diet Coke & I said make it a double.
I had a lot of 'friends' that night. I saw a lot of palms & let loose with
a lot of tips & wow, was it fun!!
Hope you & Hedy are well. I have a feeling that Las Vegas is calling me. I
thinking about moving back.
Good luck to all & thanks for reading this.

Keep playing. You never know when you're walking around lucky.
