On the machine listing for Four Queens it says that there are 12 uprights with 9/7 DB on them that are progressive quads only for .5 and .25. Are these machines linked with the bar progressives? Also is there 9/6 DDB on these like the bars?? In all of my time visiting 4Q I haven't looked for or played this group of machines near the pizza place, but would like to try them especially if they have DDB on them!

I know how you go to great lengths to take care of the things you described in your post, and I'm happy that they worked out for you and your family. The part I liked best was in your notes where you mention that with all of your experiences in handling casino offers, that you admit that you are still learning how to interpret offers that you may have previously thought weren't worth pursuing. My next trip to southern Nevada from the snowy suburbs of St. Louis will be 2/26-3/2, renting a car and staying 2 days at the Aquarius in Laughlin, and then returning to LV and staying 3 nights at the Palms. I hope Caesars Entertainment or whatever they refer to themselves these days as doesn't take on the debt of the Palms as their next trophy in the portfolio. I saw hockeySTL (Mike G) over the holidays and yesterday ran into Mrs. G.(Chris) at one of the supermarkets out here that I was calling on as part of my job. Maybe I'll sacrifice one of my trips to LV and do the Reno experience instead.

There are many many examples of casino management doing things that don't make sense. (Does anyone remember what happened to the Barbary Coast?). For some strange reason, it often seems that guys that run casinos know very little about their business.
And of course the good folks running Caesars these days are not even casino guys. They are private equity guys whose knowledge about the casino business begins and ends with what is on a balance sheet.

Read the complaint. They did far more than just stumble across a machine that had an auto-win double-up feature. In fact, nothing indicates that the double-up was auto-win. Simply switching denominations mid-hand along with a normal double-up option would equal a can't lose situation.

LVA Question of the Day - 22 JAN 2011
Q: A while ago there was talk and a website for the
"X-Train": a train that was going to travel from L.A. to LV.
It was to have a Las Vegas party theme and was supposed to
begin its run on New Year's Eve. Any news or updates, or was
it just a big hoax?
