[vpFREE] Multi-Strike and Super Times Pay
Combined in one game. I can't find anything on the Internet that gives the EV of this on any game. Seems like a long time ago I read somewhere that adding STP reduces the MS return rather than adding to it?????? But my memory is failing me these days!!!!
Does anyone know the EV of this machine with an 8/5 Bonus Poker schedule? And do you just use the basic MS strategy???

It sounds like their new system is working as advertised and your wife got an increase in points that can only be used for comps.

Maybe they were referring to comps you get from a host. Station hosts have been known to tell customers to use their points when they ask for a discretionary comp.

Just got a letter from Station casinos addressing this very issue.
It says that I have received a point increase to adjust my 9/14 balance so that I don't lose any value in points used for "dining and non-gaming redemptions". And this is true if you earned those points before or after 2/14/08.
Note that the letter says about the point increase, "These points will be redeemable for all dining and non-gaming redemptions."
[vpFREE] Current info on Cosmo?
Making my first visit there next week, and just looking for general feedback. Recommendation for casual food, any tips from others who have stayed there, etc. Searching the messages, I didn't see much that was current.
I did browse the database - looks like most of the best plays are in the high denoms. I'm mostly $1-2 VP, and like multiplays on the $1. Anyone know their best pay tables for DDB?
Also, how is the temperature in the casino? Looks like the weather will be hot, and I want to pack light, but some places keep it very cold indoors!
Thanks in advance for any info.
RE: [vpFREE] Caesar's Birthday Offer
I believe this is the first time they have offered base reward credits.
I have received other similar birthday offers over the years from the Caesars group but never for base reward credits

birthday calendar quarter (oct-dec), one time i can decide that. after play,
i would like that day's earned base reward credits (not bonus credits)
doubled, up to a 5000 credit match. not a bad 'gift' for this time of year
when we might be close to reaching a next card level.*

[vpFREE] Re: High Variance Opportunity
And playing both of them at a leisurely pace as the "money is in the drawing." Keeping under the radar may be important when your gambling on two machines including tokes when appropriate.

In 3+ hours, she hit 4 Aces twice, 4 3s and three other 4k. I hit 4A one time and 4-3's. No other 4k. She played through $78 and won $6. I played through $56 (I was visiting and chatting it up with some people) and won 75 cents. At 9 pm there were around 170 people playing the slots. Payouts are $250 on the hour and $150 every 15 minutes, with 1 random hourly drawing thrown in, making hot seat drawing of $850 per hour/ 170 players or $5/hour expected earnings for each of us. By 11:30 pm there were only 75 people playing making the expected earning to be a bit over $11/hour each. At 11:45 pm they drew Robin's name for $150.00 in free play, which will most likely convert to around 125.00 after one time through before we can cash. I don't think I will have any trouble convincing her how to spend some time with me at the casino. $11/ hour is more than she makes at work. The bad news is that you can only win one time a night at this particular casino.

[POKERHOLICS - Also at Myspace!!] Help w/ Magazine article
I'm writing an article for GLUE! magazine in Ottawa. It's mostly a student publication, and I'm looking for young people, preferably students and in that area, who has played a lot of online poker and either won or even better, lost quite a bit. If anybody here knows of anyone that would like to speak to me it'd be greatly appreciated.

[vpFREE] GVR trip report from afar
Seeing a well known gambler at the $1 9/6 Jacks collecting on a Royal was a good start to our 3 day stay:-)
3 nights with 3x multiplier on 2 days and a $50 food coupon. Wednesday night dinner was half price using points and the hot and sour soup was very good. Thursday night had a huge amount of crab legs/catfish on the $50 comp.
Nice Hilton Linai type room with door opening to palm trees swaying in the wind.
At start swipe card and my wife has 300,000 cb points and 500,000 comp points. Sweet! She made president level by the end of the trip so is hoping for increased offers.
The VP variety and fair-bet paytables are a sight to behold being from the east coast. Gave them $120K action mostly on the (devil game) FPDDB and FPJB. Also, $3K on "quick hit" slot machine in an attemp to stay under the radar. Those are a lot of fun as a break after grinding on VP for a few hours.
Got a royal, 2 hours before we left for the airport. CB totaled ~$500. ((Was advised to take it all as effects use of comp points on future trips(?))
We ended up ahead by ~$500 thanks to that royal and the cash back which (of which ~$200 for this trip). We started the visit seeing a royal and ended our 7 day trip getting a royal.
Dave in Boston.

Good job. Another thing you might want to look into is playing two machines at the same time.
