[vpFREE] Xvp Showstoppers changes

Yes there were a couple of changes from when I saw the show first about a month ago, and now. Mr. Wynn spoke little less (good change), and a really good number was added -- "Sit Down you're Rocking the Boat" featuring the great Randal Keith in the lead. Minor changes were replacing the interesting but not well known "No Name City (Ol' Las Vegas)" with an okay version of "Luck Be a Lady". Also I think "All I Need is One Good Break" was shortened (very good change) and "Together Wherever We Go" was added.

i believe mid May they will be doing two shows a night, 6:30 and 9 pm. (So double check times)

On night we saw it second time understudy Angelina Mullins subbed for Lindsay Roginski, and she was fine. She was especially good in the wonderful "Cell Block Tango" from Chicago.

I saw show from row 4 the first time with the $75 local offer (Wynn is still giving discounts to players) and row P in the middle second time. Being back further was better for seeing all the great choregoraphy.

The LeReve show is dark on a couple of weekdays by the way.

[vpFREE] Re: Proposed IRS Rule Change From $1200 to $600 on W2-G Jackpots

I am in favor of the IRS implementing session aggregation, which is an integral part of the new proposal. This change will reduce my W2-G total by around 50% whether they go to $600 or not, but your mileage may vary. I would be quite annoyed if they installed the $600 limit without going to session aggregation. The $600 limit for 1099's has been $600, and has never been adjusted for inflation. By the IRS way of thinking, they believe they have been giving casinos a break all these years when the limit has been $1200.

I have heard a lot of ranting about this proposal by people who have not read it or understood the implication of session aggregation. For me, it will be very favorable, but would slow down my play on $5 JB in those cases where another machine is not available to play after hitting quads.

Isn't most video poker payback equal to $1.00 slots? My home casino the Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas has been torched.

If you don't mind carrying a risk of bankruptcy, then the Kelly system is too conservative. The Kelly system applies to money at risk, not money that is not at risk as in freerolls or loss rebates or gambling with someone else's money or true freeplay, and it assumes bankruptcy is anathema and to be avoided at all costs. Personally, I've never gone bankrupt so I don't know if it's easy or hard. Obviously if you have too big to fail status and can get a bailout, then bankruptcy is no problem. If you live in Florida you have an unlimited housing exemption from bankruptcy which is why you see those mega-Estates there. I think in Nevada the housing exemption is limited to $100,000. Also in Nevada gambling debt is treated like a bounced check, which is not true in the other states, while under English Common Law (valid in English speaking countries unless otherwise overruled by local laws) gambling debt is not recognized at all. I would think that as long as you are not on the reservation, Indian Law has no jurisdiction against non-tribal members. I think Bob Dancer has admitted to going bankrupt at least once, perhaps he can say something on whether or not it is something he would risk doing again. Obviously if you are in a situation where bankruptcy is possible, you should consult with a bankruptcy attorney first to minimize any possible fallout.

Saw the show again, this time for a comp, and it was fabulous. As a local last time I was there I got about 5000 points, and they sent me $75 a week this month. This time I again played 5000 points, which was enough to give me 2 buffets (maybe more, they said buffets were 500 pts for new members, 1500 for others), and I asked for and got 2 Showstoppers tickets.

I was told that though the show is very popular, Wynn likes to make sure all seats are filled, so they sometimes give out tickets to people playing machines. I figured they might be more generous with comps too, especially on a weekday night, and sure enough got the show comped.

It really is a tremendous show, with great choreography and dancers, excellent singing, good costumes, a 30 piece orchestra, and showstopping Broadway numbers. Suitable for children over 12 I would say.

All singing, all dancing, all good!

Hi

I'm a senior giving serious thought to renting a home in LV during either January or February. From what I've read, Summerlin seems to be a nice play to live. I've been on the website VRBO and hopefully will be checking out some properties when I'm in town during the first week in June.

Any comments..thoughts...advice ??

Please feel free to privately e mail me .
Thanks,

Larry Feldman

It has been said: "... at the end of the day it doesn't matter if you made a good bet; what matters is if you win or lose."

As a proposed corollary: "I disagree with the last sentence. What matters is how much you get to keep!"

My take on it is, what matters is how much you enjoy doing what you are doing.
