I don't think this is a major issue. Even if the best game became 6-5 JoB, we'd have a 95% loss rebate

Good players lust after even a 40% loss rebate up to $100,000. A 95% loss rebate is manna from heaven

Playing such a bad game would be annoying but not a showstopper.

[vpFREE] Re: new york video poker

Also what else is confusing now is the usage of VLT being synonymous with non-randomly dealt video poker, when that is not always the case. In some states, primarily newer jurisdictions like Maryland and Ohio, VLTs are required to deal poker from a random deck. Oregon VLTs are also required to deal from a random deck. They just call them VLTs because the state lottery manages them. It really all depends on the state law. But I'm sure most of us agree that offering video poker from a non-random deck is very misleading and really shouldn't be allowed in any state.

RE: [vpFREE] new york video poker

I believe in New York you will see a a statement on the machine that says something to the effect that the cards shown are for display purposes and if you read the help menu it will also have language that indicates that it is not a random deal.

RE: [vpFREE] Re: new york video poker

To my knowledge, at the present time there are only two jurisdictions where the video poker in a non-Indian casino is not random -- New York and Washington State. Both of these are due to the enabling legislation. It is not a question of the casinos putting pressure on the regulators/gaming commission to allow a random deal.

Why do you think people will play an 8/5 JOB game when a 9/6 game sits empty right next to them? Besides just being plain unobservant, there are a LOT of people who think the pay table doesn't really make a difference, or even worse - think the 9/6 machine must be set "tighter" somehow. And to make matters more confusing, there are some gaming jurisdictions where these people are right!
>
> If everyone understood and demanded real, random video poker, (and stopped playing the "fake" games) the casinos that operate in these VLT type jurisdictions might put pressure on the regulators to change the rules, but that's not going to happen. If you try to explain the concepts of random card selection, calculated return based on the pay table, etc., most people will look at you like you just turned into a two headed alien.

I think the big question is what games will be available after August 1 to use the free play rebate on. I would not be surprised to see all 9/6 JOB disappear and I do not believe the Gaming Commission would get involved on this happening.

Re: [vpFREE] Re: Tuscany VP

The last several months (including June), the 10x points days have been Monday and Friday. I've always found the Bonus Points Days info at the Las Vegas Advisor website (available to non-members) to be accurate.

Saturday was a gift card day for a while but this month was just free tournament entries.

Thank you. Do they still have 10X points on Saturday? I've seen conflicting info on this.

I always look at these things skeptically whenever I see "See our slot club desk for details." at the bottom of offers.
Couldn't the aggregate limit be in the details?

I wonder how the distribution regarding this cap will be tabulated?

$100,000 loss is a pretty attractive incentive for the general gambling populace.
Are the airlines already booked solid?
