[vpFREE] Re: LV Mailers

Hard Rock does send a monthly email about your offers. The subject is "Your Rewards Summary Is Packed With Offers".

Rampart just sends a monthly email about promotions. I don't think they send one about your offers but I quit playing there after the last round of paytable downgrades.

vp_a_gogo,

Ahhh, thanks. I have been able to check my offers and freeplay online for Stations and Boyd, but didn't know you could do that for Rampart and Hard Rock. I will check at the booth to make sure I'm eligible before playing some more and then remember to check online for offers/freeplay.

Do HR and Rampart send you an email telling you that you have any offers/freeplay? I never got any from either property, unless it's buried in their regular monthly promotions emails - I do get those.

I have not heard of anyone being excluded from Senior multipliers that gets mailers. They've checked the single box indicating they believe your IQ is higher than your shoe size and you are no longer one of the locals they luv.

Re: [vpFREE] Re: LV Mailers

Tiki,

Thanks. I figured I should try some non-100% play to see if I get any freeplay or offers. Probably will try some $1 NSU or $2/5 BP prog.

About 6 years ago I was backed off at Stations for playing someone else's card. About a year later I was allowed to return, but I was told that I would be ineligible for any promotions, except those open to the general public. So I have found that I M not eligible for the 50+ Wednesday's, but I do get the holiday 6x multipliers at the kiosk.

There is always 6X on Wednesdays if you are a senior, and other point multipliers on other days that are property specific. If you are not getting a mailer, you may need to call the property, as they do not seem to post these days online. In the recent past, the only way I've found out about them was by accidentally driving by and seeing the multiplier days advertised on the marquee! Lately, my stations mailer has been advertising the multiplier days for all the Stations properties, even the ones I don't play at.  But, my Fiesta mailer, which is separate, only advertises Fiesta multiplier days. My stations mailer gives relatively ok bounceback freeplay, but starting two years ago they have cut back on food and room offers. The drawings at Stations are absolutely worthless due to the huge amount of free tickets that are given away.

You can look at your offers online at many casinos. Maybe some that you think didn't send you anything really did. On the other hand, maybe some of these casinos no-mailed you in the past but didn't inform you or it wasn't evident to you.

[vpFREE] Re: Getting Overcomped at CET.

Mickey C

7 Star was always good. Often thought of changing to Harrahs (CET).

This has always been the plan, play 9/6 JOB or GOOD progressives. .  For years my Taj comp mail gave  3 anytime nights suite. Good for 10 stays. Wife and I had separate accounts. She got 3 nites and so did I. Taj was so liberal I'd get one or two bedroom suites, depending on who wanted to go "to the beach" with me. Always at least one gourmet dinner for whole family. Always RFB.  New Years Eve same treatment.  Of course, white table cloth joints were comped on written comp ticket. Entertainment too. As you know, playing $5 or $2 9/6 JOB can net  a lot of comp power in short time.  In years gone by Taj didn't have a "comp" account like now. Even up to closing and last management at Taj the host able to give generous comps on player history.  But, you had to be bankrolled enough to score lots of play.  Those days are gone.  Too tight with comps.

My most memorable time at Taj.  About 12-13 years ago, my wife, daughter, son-in-law, 2 grandkids  were eating at Mark Anthony's at  Trump Taj AC.     6 of us next to a  table about 12 people eating.  In the group was Donald Trump.   Didn't think much of it because he was often in  the eating places, fancy or buffet.  As Trump table left, he walks over to my granddaughter in high chair. He talked to her with usual baby talk and called Melania over and they spent 5-10  minutes or so playing with baby. They interacted with our group, nice people.   I believe Trump was just dating Melania at that time.  Reason it's memorable, I  have been telling my granddaughter she knows Trump.  So...WIN LOSE or DRAW she either knows a president or a celebrity.
            Attention:      IT'S A GAMING STORY ONLY>

My  most memorable wins. Win stories higher rank than Trump story,   Stardust 7 Royals less than 24 hours.   $25,000 2 day free slot tournament  at Taj.

Last one. Resorts AC, $23 thousand $300 odd dollars. on 3 coin $5 Double Joker.  Memorable  because the odd $ was like $23,326 on meter.  Video jackpot displayed $23,330.   House paid me  smaller amount.
I wanted the $4 they owed me, just like display. They said I had to ask the daytime people, therefore they were not going to pay me till tomorrow. I decided to take the cash and take the $4 hit.  My wife mad that
I  mentioned it.  But, what can I say?

 Have a good day,   Jeep

[vpFREE] Burned on Gift Card

Went to use a $100 Shell Gift Card for first time today and learned at pump that balance was zero. Went home and called card company and learned $100 balance was loaded 12/8/15 and $100 was used at a gas station in Colorado on 12/23/15. I haven't been to Colorado in over 15 years so it wasn't me. Based on the date, I am pretty sure it is a card I got from the CET holiday shopping event, but I didn't save the receipt. Wonder how this happened? Guess gift cards aren't as safe as cash.

Darryl McEwen did a story about a low stakes player that basically was 7* to eat and drink all day for free and never tipped.

For a short bit AC had 10X pts on Thursdays not during the summer at CZR properties.

Re: [vpFREE] Getting Overcomped at CET.

If a Seven Stars member lived in Las Vegas and wanted to deal with the checking guests into rooms, one could probably make a pretty good profit selling the rooms too.   Warning:  dark gray area!   I've never done this, but give the rooms to visiting guests and local friends all the time. I do try to plan it around a play day so as not to totally kill my ADT however.

[vpFREE] Getting Overcomped at CET.

I've followed with interest a thread on another gambling forum about being overcomped by CET.  Is that even possible?  Apparently so for at least a one player.  One of the benefits of making 7 Stars is it qualifies you to be comped up to 4 nights a week at any CET property for two years.  If a person were to actually take advantage of this then we are talking 400 comp days. And you don't go through a host to book the rooms.  You call an 800 number.

The main person exploiting this loophole always qualifies himself for 7 Stars every year so then we are talking about up to 200 comped days per year.  He's a tournament poker player and uses the comped rooms to defray his expenses. In just one example he spends 23 days a year at the Rio during the WSOP....all comped.  Then there are the other tournaments he plays.

He has a pretty good modus operandi. There are some places left in the country where there are 9/6 Jacks and it's just $10 per tier credit.  To get to 7 Stars status he plays for ten days, running 5000 TC's per day.  When you run 5000 TC's in one day you get a 10,000 TC bonus.  After ten days he has run 50,000 TC's but is credited with 150,000 TC's which is what it takes to gain 7 Stars status. Once he gains 7 Stars status he quits playing for the year.

So he is running a $500,000 wager.  With the 9/6 Jacks you are taking .46% theoretical loss.  So his theoretical cost to get to 7 Stars is $2300.  What I don't know so far is if freeplay is also a part of the equation.  If it is then his cost is cut even further.

I like his idea.  And I've done some imagining about whether it would behoove a video poker pro to do the same thing.  I think it depends.  If a vp pro had advantage plays around the country that he could run a circuit on....and didn't want to run too much comp on those properties so as not to wear out his welcome....then staying at a CET property nearby would be a good idea.

Am I going to do anything like this? No. I'm quite happy in my little Montana home.  But I always love observing how other pros do things.
