I am under the impression that most serious players do between 800-1000 hands per hour. So I believe I am behind the curve, and I know I am practically alone in my stubborn refusal to stop using touch-screen.

Practicing typing sounds like good advice. So thanks for that.

I would still like to watch how some players crank out more hands, but like I said, I'm not in Vegas and there is no one here to learn from.

I forget what Frank Kneeland gets out, but it is an unbelievable number. I saw someone at the Palms many years ago just blazing on the button board, so fast it was practically a blur. That might have been Frank.

[vpFREE] Fremont casino pick em

I see that the Fremont has been updated on its pick em inventory. There are now listed two coin droppers under the stairs that go the second floor mezzanine in front of the keno lounge. This spot used to have two keno machines that had a few different/unique keno games on them( I believe they were game maker plus machines). Does anyone know if they still have those in a different location now or are they gone?

Thanks,

Paul

Someone's going to have to help me and explain in writing to me, how to work the buttons, and then I can practice in my local Indian Casino. Trust me, there's no one here that I can learn from. It's like Oliver and Lisa Douglas of Green Acres here.

[vpFREE] I Need Help with my VP Playing Style

Ok, it's been long enough, and I've been very stubborn. When I play, I pick the cards on the screen. I don't make mistakes, but at the same time I probably only put out 600-650 hands an hour. I need to learn, and improve, and speed things up.

The thing is, I don't live in Vegas. So it's not like I can just stand and look over Frank Kneeland's shoulder and see how it's done. Someone's going to have to help me and explain in writing to me, how to work the buttons, and then I can practice in my local Indian Casino. Trust me, there's no one here that I can learn from. It's like Oliver and Lisa Douglas of Green Acres here.

Any tips, suggestions, personal methods from fellow VPFreers would be appreciated.

I'm an older dog, but not too old to learn and change. If I can give up sodium in my diet, well I can do this too. Think positive!

thx,

[vpFREE] Re: Bob Dancer's LV Advisor Column - 16 JUL 2013

I am confused if Henry left the South Point voluntarily or was one of the dozens who were restricted for playing on 2X days?

Let's assume he wasn't kicked out of the slot club. Henry isn't missing much. He is playing a break even game nearly every day. This assumes that Henry can play NSUD perfectly. The South Point mailers are worthless as the article suggests.

A couple days per month, Henry can collect a whopping 33 basis points. This equates to $18 per hour on those rare days.

Henry's accounting is irrelevant since he treats all casinos P&L the same. It is the relative results which are important. There are many casinos which are relatively better to play than the South Point---no matter how you account for it.

Henry made the right choice by playing elsewhere. Good riddance...

[vpFREE] Re: Flamingo Plumbing Problems

I would also be interested in an answer to the question.  When we were in LV last March we had reservations at the steakhouse next the Diamond Club at Flamingo.  When we arrived for our reservation the restaurant was dark.  When we inquired next door at the Diamond Club they said there were plumbing troubles and they had to shut the place down.

But that was in MARCH...

[vpFREE] Flamingo Plumbing Problems

Does anyone have an update on the recent problems Flamingo is having. I have heard that the food court, Diamond Lounge and some rooms were closed because of it.

We are planning to stay there in August but want the option to change hotels now if it will still be a smelly mess in there.

Thanks
CaroleB
