[vpFREE] Re: 50% loss rebate in Pennsylvania casino--"Excludes poker"

Ever since I've become intrigued by the advantage gambling community I have noticed that many casinos don't seem to have a clue...

Promotions are poorly worded, do not contain enough information, change mid-stream...

Booth workers don't know the current promotions, give incorrect information, do not properly honor promotions...

...unless, of course, they are doing this on purpose to take advantage of players or otherwise get them in the door. Personally, though, I am most likely to come into a casino if the pay tables are great and the promotions are good to the point of having an advantage or something close to it. Apparently they want nothing to do with APs or aspiring APs who would be willing to risk a decent-sized bankroll to play

or they are just incompetent.

[vpFREE] Re: 50% loss rebate in Pennsylvania casino--"Excludes poker"

I want to agree with Harry's take, but the promo is so poorly written that I'm not sure.

It appears that sometime today Mt. Airy added "Excludes poker" to the last line of the promo.

The wording is open to several interpretations. "rated play" might indicate that table games are in the mix, especially since the final paragraph of the promo states:

"For New Player's Club members that sign up in the month of September. Excludes Poker".

"Excludes Poker" suggests that everything else (blackjack, craps, roulette) is okay. But what if "Excludes Poker" means 'excludes video poker"!

Also, the line, "You must have at least 5 hours of rated play and at least $500 of rated slot loss" seems to indicate you need BOTH. Which in turn suggests that table game losses would not be allowed unless there was also a $500 slot loss.

[vpFREE] RE: highlighted links

Using Firefox, I find I can simply highlight the link text (usually with a double click) and then right click ... a menu pops up allowing me to immediately open the highlighted link in a new window, without the need to copy/paste.  (Note:  won't work if any extraneous characters or spaces are highlighted.)   --- In vpFREE@yahoogroups.com, <vpfree3355@...> wrote: > jim_mason7 wrote:

Links are still clickable if you receive individual emails or digests
from Yahoo Groups, but not if you are reading the messages on the Group
website. They made this change a few weeks ago probably as a security
measure since so many virus infected links were being posted.
