Don, some people called him Johnny Katz. He was the tightest advantage slot player of all time. He only liked totally nut plays. He was an old poker dealer. A nice guy. His only leak in life was his daughter. She got anything she wanted, the rest of us can all go to hell. He got the name Catman John because he traveled in a motor home that had a bunch of cats in it. I guess there must have been 14. I love the Catman. He was a good man.

[vpFREE] Re: Hard Rock is now downgrading single line VP????
Another downgrade at Hard Rock LV:
The three $1/$2/$5 machines in high limit have had the 9/6 JoB and 9/6 Bdlx downgraded.
I don't believe there are any more $1 or $2 9/6 JoB or 9/6 Bdlx there.
[vpFREE] Re: XVP NBA crowds
It is not as big a draw as the Lakers---You won't see any big crowds

Mickey- I remember Catman John, but I heard him referred to as "14 Cat John" haha. I only played on weekends there, but at about the time John was there I think I counted about 12 guys hustling there
in that little room, It was crazy. A lot of guys were asked to leave.

I had friends who worked those slots at Spirit Mountain. They eventually started getting heat. One friend, Cat Man John got pitched out.
It's been several years ago but I've played poker at Tulalip, Muckeleshoot, the Emerald Queen. I used to play in a Tahoe Split game at the Parkland Bowling Alley, just south of Tacoma.
I spent a couple days playing poker at 7 Feathers in Oregon, and also Wild Horse Pass just out of Pendleton.
For some reason Al is interested in Tulalip at Marysville but we may as well hit all the rooms while we're over that way.

I think the limit in Deadwood is up to $100 now.
[vpFREE] Re: Tips [Never Hit a 'Real' Royal] XVP
Australia is a good example. Tipping is not expected and in fact the locals discourage it. The wait staff make good wages and everyone pays their "fair" (albeit high) share of taxes. We experienced excellent service in most of the establishments and never felt obligated to tip. Taxes were also built in to the prices. What you see is what you pay. We loved it even though the prices were higher (partly due also to the unfavorable exchange rate).

Eventually the slackers would be pushed out of the system and you would get good service. There are other countries that don't have tipping, they have service charges or just raise the price of the food. I can go to a burger joint and get great service even though tipping at these places is not the norm. Why not ?

[vpFREE] XVP NBA crowds
I am curious, maybe someone can answer, we will be arriving Sunday and since there is a high profile NBA game that night, how many people have been there to bet on this series? Is it a big draw even though it isn't LA involved? I remember 2 times we were there when the Lakers were in the Finals and that town was rockin'.

LVA Question of the Day - 9 JUN 2011
Q: I have been to Vegas 5 times in the last 2 years and
always head to Fremont St. for one good night of fun, but I
have noticed that the songs on the canopy never change,
always the same ones. Will they ever get a new one?
