[vpFREE] Re: windows 8, installingwin poker ???

Hey Bob,

The question was directed to the group. Thanks for reply, though. I had hoped our group might have some suggestion to get me on a track to success. I'm not real fond of windows 8.

Bob. Are you still selling your products? Or have you changed gears into some other business? I Haven't been keeping lately.

Cheers.....Jeep

[vpFREE] Re: Foxwoods NSUD:Can I get a tiny bit of help from someone with VP software?

No worries, I still plan to scout when I am free, especially for STP games since those are my favorite. I think St. Tropez could also been right here, it's possible the moderator didn't know how to switch the casino's "Nothing Good" status off. This was the only casino I have reported where "Nothing Good" was active.

This I totally agree with. If there is 99%+ poker at the same denominations, then you can argue leaving out 98.91% DW or 9/6 (98.98%) DDB since there are better options. Although I would consider posting either these games if this is the best version of that game available. This is a bigger issue with 9/6 DDB. I post on a generic Vegas forum as well, and many of the questions are "Where are the best DDB games?" If you ignore 9/6 DDB, you shut out 95% of the casinos nationwide for a DDB listing, the most popular video poker game by miles in the country!! I'm not saying everyone ignores 9/6 DDB, Keep up the good work, btw! Chicagoland listings are quite well-kept, imo.

And yes, most of the games I have been reporting lately are usually 9/6 DDB or 98.91% Deuces with some type of gimmick to boost it above 99%.

FW also took out the FP All American machines. Saw them at the Paiute fireworks shop halfway between Vegas and Mesquite. That must have been 25 years ago!

someone with VP software?

This brings up an interesting point.

I am currently monitoring two properties in the Chicago Area for vpfree2.

One of them has several dozen 99%+ games all the way up to 99.92%.

For that property I list all 99%+ games, 9-6 DDB, 10-6-5 DDB STP (The STP
gimmick moves it over 99%)

and several sub 99% at reset progressives (One bank is over 99% more often
than not and over 100% about 1/4 of the time. Two other banks are $1 9-6-5
DB with a 1% meter that is under 99% most of the time but after I snapped
off a 100% level royal a couple of years ago, I felt I had to include it.).

I do not list Illinois Deuces for this property because 16-10 NSUD is
available on the property at 25c/50c/$1/$5.

The second property has no 99%+ video poker.

For this property I list all games between 98.8% and 99.0%.

This includes 9-6 DDB and Illinois Deuces.

It also includes four versions of Big Split that are between 98.8% and 99%

Also include 8-6 BP Dlx Dbl STP as that gimmick brings this game to almost
99%.

Re: [vpFREE] M BARTOPS

I concur--I've NEVER seen a bartender there. When I first started playing those machines, Richard Strafella (now of course at the Palms) was the casino manager. I went to him, and he said to tell either the pit boss at the usually active tables in that room, or any of them on the floor, and they'd make sure any of the premium liquor from behind the bar was made available as well as a cocktail waitress to serve it, every 10 minutes. The High Limit table game salon has a bar in it --- and that bar includes 8/5 Bonus in many denominations between 25c and $10.

While it IS at a bar (lots of high priced liquor bottles are on display), the bar rarely has a bartender there. (Cocktail waitresses will bring you what you want.) If having a bartender present is part of your definition of a bar, this one usually doesn't qualify.

RE: [vpFREE] Re: Radio Guest Wanted

Please compare any program for seniors, too.

Hmm. I wasn't aware that Total Rewards HAD any program for seniors. Seniors programs are usually the province of local slot clubs rather than national slot clubs.

It is also possible that while not part of the national slot club, different properties tweak the national club. For example, there are some Harrah's properties nationally that provide free buffets for Seven Stars members even though this is not part of the official Total Rewards programs. I don't know of any of these adjustments for seniors but maybe.

I will report them to vpFREE2 if tomflush or someone can tell us what denominations are available for these two games. Also are they single-line or multi-line? On a specialty game such as Multi-Strike? That much info is pretty essential in order to add a game to vpFREE2.

It looks to me like the monitor maybe didn't know how to remove the "Nothing Good" status so that the new game would appear on the games page.

(Horseshoe Tunica Monitor: Uncheck the "Nothing Good" box at the bottom of the Monitor Info/Club page.)

I'm copying the vpFREE2 owner hoping that he will intercede if necessary and make sure this game gets added as Douglas V originally requested.

Thanks for the extra info. I think we'll take advantage of their free night and look around for something to play.

Note the 7/5 DDB is a progressive, and a multiway progressive at that. When I stopped there for the "Race to Rewards" last summer, the Royal was at about $1900 I think and Aces w/kicker was about $700. There were other meters as well, but I don't recall them being super high. But these two values alone would make the game 98.8%. The bank was pretty busy, not surprisingly. I took a $40 crack and lost. :(

But if the meters are all too low to be playable, I am pretty sure I played a little 8/5 DDB w/Super Times Pay (97.06% w/STP bet). Or at least I recall noticing that because I thought: Well, at least the base pays on this game are higher than the base of the progressive.

Unfortunately, VP is definitely weak there overall. The best thing about the place, imo, is that you can't smoke in the casino.

I understand their pay tables are awful. VPFREE2 shows just 1 DDB game with a 7/5 paytable. Does anyone know what else they might have at the quarter level? We normally play DDB but we are used to 9/6 or even 9/5 but not 7/5 which is worse than terrible. Any info on other games would be appreciated.
