Why do I think I can pack in 2 hours when it always takes 38 hours?

[vpFREE] Re: Harrah's LA Downs (Bossier City) vp info

Well, they won't be getting any of my business. I can bet on the ponies on The D's second floor!

Thanks for all three responses.

[vpFREE] Re: Horseshoe Hammond Downgrades

If this is true about Horseshoe Hammonds then they just lost a 7* trip from me. Doesn't management realize that if they make the games worse, then they get LESS business all around?

The $25/1 ratio is spreading from Vegas like a virus

Re: [POKERHOLICS - Also at Myspace!!] Digest Number 1179

instead of trying to charge money shilling adds on a free yahoogroup....maybe the goal should be to generate some actual poker-related content???

why would anyone spend $$$ to advertise for a dead list????

One of my very early royals was on a 5 card redraw on a single line deuces wild game at the old COPA boat in Gulfport. Talk about a royal coming out of nowhere! When the attendant came by, she said "Oh, it dealt it to you", and I told her "No - look again!"

RE: [vpFREE] Re: Harrah's LA Downs (Bossier City) vp info

I used to play quite a bit at Harrah's LA Downs. They had good VP in those
days. Shortly after LA Downs moved into the new facility (probably 7 years
or so ago), the LA Legislature decided that casinos at race tracks would be
deemed as "racinos" and that VP was not to be offered at racinos. At least,
that is the explanation our host there provided us at the time.

Hated to lose that place. They had 9/6 JoB and NSUD. Good games for LA.

[vpFREE] Revel visit and historic first

Hi Gang:
Hedy and I visited Revel this past Friday to run through some free play and
stumbled upon one machine that offered 9/6 DDB at the $1, $2 and $5
levels. It was in a bank of four machines near the Wheel of Fortune machines by
the wall in the back towards the right as you enter the casino. The other
three machines in the bank had 9/5 DDB at the $1 level.
Previously, we only found 9/6 DDB at the $2 and up levels. Don't know if
there are other machines like this (we only spent a short time there and
didn't check too many pay tables) but we may return to give them a little play
in the future knowing this machine is available.
Also, during this trip I experienced a first in my career when I got a
redraw royal while playing 10-play BP at Harrah's. It was at the quarter level,
in hearts and was a real shocker because you never expect to get a royal
when you toss all five cards. It was the 310th royal of our careers and only
our second on a redraw. Hedy had gotten one years ago at Caesars Palace
playing five-play 9/6 JOB.
Regards,
CoachVee & Hedy
