I made a mistake in this post. The glitch wasn't in the nine-liners. Perhaps some of you remember the Williams multi-game machines that had the early surrender blackjack (100.4%). The glitch was in those machines.

[vpFREE] Thank goodness for Downtown Deuces
Back from three days in Paradise. 71 in Vegas and get back to threats of snow in Amarillo.
Stayed first night at Red Rock. 34th casino to have stayed at. Played full pay Deuces for about 5 hours. Nothing exciting.
Went downtown for next two days on free offer from Four Queens. The rooms there really are pretty decent. I played DDB and only hit quad 5's once. Played some FPDW and then played penny slots with my wife. She usually doesn't gamble, but she had money from the Super Bowl pot we won and we agreed to blow it in Vegas.
Friday morning I walked down to the El Cortez. Found the one Downtown Deuce machine that was a coin dropper. Started playing. It was so terrible slow. You could actually root for the next card you needed to fill a straight or make three of a kind.
After about an hour of play (not more than 300 hands, I hit 4 Ducks. You would have thought someone won the Mega Millions there. Had to call a slot attendant and technician over and got a hand pay. I also got a decent El Cortez jacket.
That put me about even.
I played a little longer and then went back and took my afternoon nap (after about 5 Gin and Tonics).
Went over to the GN and bought in for $100 in $1 $2 No Limit. I played pretty conservative. A guy raised the pot to $10 and I called. I had KD QD and the Flop came KH and two blanks, both spades. He bet $40 and I called. Flop came and no help to my hand or his. He bet another $40 so I was pot committed. The river was a Spade. He had KS QS and the river made him a flush. I took my lone Fifty cent piece and went back to the room.
I came back losing less than $100, but could have came back slightly ahead if not for the spade.
The drought still continues. No Royal in close to 20 years. I was happy for a guy at Red Rock that hit one.
Still it was fun. I always gain about 5 lbs with all the buffets...especially the crab legs!

I wouldn't say he doesn't have a shot. I won in the last drawing that had cumulative entries. Its a long shot but not impossible.

The free entries are daily only, not cumulative

You have no shot - the number of free entries alone makes this promotion worse with each passing day as the entries are cumulative.

I have seen, on more than one occasion, David Sklansky pounding away
on it playing the highest denomination.

IT was certain Williams nine-line video slots where some kind of glitch allowed one to get a 45 coin bet just betting one coin. I didn't know how it was done and didn't want to know. There used to be a hustler in Las Vegas everyone called Peg Rich Rich. He told me a friend taught him how to do it. He left Vegas for California to exploit the glitch. You prompted me to check out some of the poker forums for an intriguing, entertaining read first thing this morning. Here's a couple of examples, for starters (from 2+2):

No, this was not the one dealt with the gloves. Those were much later and there was some scandal about them. Evidently a few players discovered a flaw where you could keep playing without betting. They disappeared overnight.
