RE: [vpFREE] Re: Mailers?

I was "Celebrity" level, didn't exactly keep track of coin-in, but got
NOTHING for a mailer this month! When I called they said "I didn't have
enough play to warrant a mailer!" Yikes! I had big offers (for a
relatively small player) in November and December (I was initially
impressed!) from them and gave them quite a bit of play. I was not an
overall winner either! I'm thinking "don't bother" with them. Just my
opinion.maybe a computer screw-up or marketing error but I won't be going
back until they send me something.

I would be interested to know what kind of offers Aliante gives based on
your level of play.

Re: [vpFREE] Barona Qualifying

If you really want to try and break even at Barona, play 2-pair joker
poker. That bank of 25 cent machines you're referring to has 2PJW at 99.92%
return, or at least they did the last time I was there (roughly a year
ago). Slot club cash back is more like .05% if you're playing video poker I
believe, so it's still not >100% unless you factor in mailers, but it's
certainly the best I've found in SD county and Barona offers the nicest
casino overall. In any case, it's miles ahead of 99.5 JOB as well as being
more fun to play, IMO. Some say it's a trickier game to learn, I can't
speak to that since it was the first one I truly studied. Had I been used
to other games I might have found it difficult, but I had only played
casually before and in my opinion the strategy is no more complicated than
other games, if perhaps not as intuitive.

Good luck.

For local LV discounts at the MGM Resorts shows, you can book tickets on their website then show a local ID when you pick them up. Obviously you can also purchase the tickets in person. Don't know about other shows but you will probably always have to show a local ID in person sometime during the process.

[vpFREE] Pechanga Inventory

Near the security podium by the cashier in the room with the round bar, there are 4 slantt top machines mixed in a bank that contain 25c Super Aces 99.84%.

The is also a funky paytable on some of these machines that is probably close to 100%. It looks kinda like APDW but pays 150 for a WRF and 2500 for a RF. Some of the machines have a version of Reel Deal VP, so they must be made by that company.

[vpFREE] Re: Megabus to Reno & LV

Where it drops off in Sparks has nothing to do with saving the Nugget. It drops off at the major public transit terminal on Victorian Ave.

Ascuaga did previously own the land the terminal now sits on, and helped champion the building of the terminal (which opened in 2008) in part because so many of his employees use public transportation. Somehow I doubt the master plan was to get it built so that after the Great Recession his casino could be saved by Megabus.

I rode Megabus from SF to Sparks around Christmas. Paid $8.80 for two roundtrip tickets including taxes and fees, buying my tickets just nine days in advance. They price the same way Allegiant Airlines does. First few to buy get cheapest price, next few slightly higher, next few slightly higher, etc.

Bus was comfortable. AC power at every seat. Free wifi worked for about half the trip. Double decker with spectacular views from up top, including the glass roof. And the clientele was fine. Everything is ticketless and purchasing is Internet only, which weeds out a certain element. The SF-Sparks run stops just once, in Sacramento, where we swapped a few passengers. Bus ran a little slower than expected, but given Donner Pass had been closed until just before my trip, I can't complain.

Unfortunately I had more to complain about after reaching Reno-Sparks, as the VP spent two days taunting me. Thirteen times dealt four to a royal on various 3-play with no luck. I suppose the good luck part was being dealt RF4 more often than I deserved. The fantastic steak dinner at Atlantis Steakhouse was a nice consolation prize.

Don't be fooled. People not dressed to your specifications can still have hundreds in their pockets.
Plus, from what I've seen of JA Nugget on weekends they don't need any "saving".

[vpFREE] hard rock mailers

Hi Scot Krause,

Spoke to boothling and was told no mailers (or offers) were sent this week. My husband and I were told we would get the same freeplay and food that we've been getting for the past few months, starting next week.

We'll see.
