Hasn't this rumor surfaced many times in the past and it was never actually true at all?  Usually someone looking at the wrong game inside the machine?

It does not matter now since they reversed their decision but they had left one machine at 10/7 by mistake before they put them all back.

No, they add a mini spin game after you earn xxx number of points. It comes up on your card reader screen.

Thanks for this great tip!  Since we're headed to Laughlin anyway, I called Gloria and she was delightful.  Got this booked in just moments, even though the FSP offer I used is expiring tomorrow.  She said the limit was $500, then the additional 50% earned for $250.  I didn't ask for details on the play requirement.  Nice freebie either way!

[vpFREE] Horseshoe Bossier City downgrades

 

Horseshoe Bossier City has reduced pay tables on just about all VP. This includes the 3- and 5-play machines near the entrance the main floor. Isolated 9/6 JoB single line machines can be found on the back wall of the first floor, and there is one $1 single line 9/6 JoB in the high limit room, next to a 9/5 machine. Don't know how long these will last. Check pay tables.

Alan - you are certainly stretching the definition of being frugal on this one.

An extra $10 for VIP treatment?  no brainer.  C'mon man, loosen up - it's Vegas! 

To each his own for sure, but riding in a shuttle and seeing several other hotels on your way in from the airport - wasting valuable time as others are dropped off is not the way I want to start my precious Vegas time.  All to save what?  $13.

Enjoy the ride - alone and act like the big shot we all want to be.

The limo would be from the airport to Bally's Las Vegas.  My understanding is that $10 is the minimum, my host said I should tip $15-$20.  The airport isn't really very far away, I could see the larger tip if I was able to get a comped limo between where I live and the airport, which is about 15 miles away and frequently traffic.  It seems like a lot considering that the shuttle is $7, and I never minded taking that when I wasn't renting a car.  I actually once took 2 buses for $1 or whatever the fare was at the time, but that was a bit of an ordeal with suitcases.  This may seem a little vindictive, but even if I was tempted to save a few dollars and just take the shuttle, with all the cutbacks from CZR (this is for 80,000 tier points in 2013, probably my first and last free trip), I want them paying for the limo whether I really want it or not.

Anyway, my question is, can I share the limo with others who I'm not traveling with?  I'm going to be on a plane from JFK where everyone is going to Vegas, so if I found some people going to Bally's or Paris, I'm thinking I can have them chip in, they'll get a nice ride, and it probably will cost them less than a cab.  If I found 3 people we can each chip in $5 and give the driver $20, then I'll feel good that I saved $2 over the shuttle, still got a nice limo ride, gave the driver a decent tip, and I'll be happy that CZR had to pay for it.  Also, if I found some people to share the ride who were going to a different casino that was nearby, am I allowed to do that?  Is CZR specifically paying for a ride between point A and point B?  Or it it for a specified minimum time period and if they don't go over the time limit they can drive wherever I tell them to?  Or do they just charge CZR for the extra time and CZR can't do anything about it (meaning they wouldn't touch my comps either)?  Keep in mind that I'm not going to be playing their lousy VP pay tables (except with free play coupons), so they won't want to do anything extra for me.  I don't want to tell people not going to Bally's or Paris that they can come in the limo and then find out that they really can't, as that would be rude and embarrassing.

Wonder if I could do the same going back?  I would assume there would be people waiting for cabs near where the limo is.  Does it matter if they're not going to the same terminal?

They may not be, but the local pros constantly hogging the 4 dollar machines still do. I imagine that some of the quarter players will move over to the dollar machines , get ready for long machine waits and locked down units!
