[vpFREE] Re: Jackpot Pictures - 20 AUG 2013

I've taken many pictures of jackpots, in many different CET locations. Recently, at Horseshoe Southern Indiana, I forgot to take the picture until just at the time the attendants arrived.

They told me "sorry, but we can't allow you to take a picture"..I asked why...they said "casino policy - you need to take it before we get here and that's fine. We just can't allow it once we're here".

DUH??

[vpFREE] Re: Total Rewards Credit Card

I only intend to use the TR card for the initial 10,000 promo credits. In addition to the initial 10k RC, I will get RC for the $750 spending which led to the 10k bonus RC.

The credit card is a good idea especially if you can get the initial reward. Additionally if you will be gambling at their casinos owning the card is more rewarding
I use my cash back card mostly as I prefer the cash towards the balance monthly due every so often

[vpFREE] Re: Jackpot Pictures - Pic of Pic

At Harrahs Rincon in So.Cal. I hit an $8000. royal on $2. machine. some months ago. They asked if I wanted my pic taken. I did, but we waited until the payoff so I could fan out the bills for the picture. The slot people took three poses, one of me alone, one of my sister and I together and one of just the machine with the royal still on it. The very next day they e-mailed me the three pics so I have them at home. In two days the pic of me with the bills was posted on "Wall of Fame" along with many other winners. I am in a wheelchair so my girlfriend took a picture of me sitting below the picture of me on the wall. So our picture of the picture came out great. NEVER a question of picture taking in the casino and I see it done all the time. On my first visit to Rincon after my accident we took pictures all over the casino with various employee friends and also never a question.

What did they do?

Subject: [vpFREE] Revel Lawsuit?

I heard a rumor that many players are suing the Revel for what it did
in last month's promotion. Is this true?

It's OK. Chances are if you play enought to be willing to get the card, Platinum was probably in your future anyway.

[vpFREE] Total Rewards Credit Card

I received an email today from Harrah's marketing concerning their Total Rewards credit card (which I applied for and was approved for about two weeks ago). Although there is no introductory 0% APR, the initial promotion is a free 10,000 Reward Credits with spending of $750 in the first 90 days on top of other perks such as 1x, 2x, and 5x reward credits per dollar spent on various purchases.

Another perk -- not mentioned on their Total Rewards Visa website -- was an upgrade from Total Rewards gold status to Platinum status upon credit card approval. I called the number provided for the offer to apply (1855.381.5714) and informed the customer service rep that I was approved and asked about the status upgrade. I was told that my status upgrade would be shown on the TR website upon the first credit card billing cycle.

This is quite good for me (and may be good for others here). I haven't yet played at TR locations and only became a member, so a bump to Platinum and the perks which come with it are great!

I'm not sure if anyone else is getting this email, but if you have a TR Visa card and not platinum status, it may be worth calling to see if you can get upgraded...or perhaps applying for a card for the perks including the tier upgrade.
