I understand the desire to share the "wealth/news". But this is a classic case of posting a good play and facilitating its demise.
Casinos monitor this site and have become very astute in killing good plays as soon s possible.
I suggest more discretion in sharing the information posted here.
If you know there is a good play at X Casino email it to those who's you see posting here and know or believe they are not affiliated with a casino.
Its sad to see a good play go and to post this here as Im sure the post was made with good intentions but the result was disastrous
Perhaps someone can suggest a private group where membership is vetted?

I don't see this happening - among other things, getting rid of mortgage interest and state tax deductions is going to hurt far more people than the new rates help.

They're already reporting that it is pretty much dead in the water in whichever house of Congress it gets introduced.

It's not yet obvious how it would affect professional gamblers.    Pros usually opt to file a Sch C ("Profit or Loss from  Business"), and losses can be taken on Sch C as a business expense or under "returns and allowances", bypassing the 'deduction' issue.

I just heard that the good paytables on the Four Queens bartops have
been changed back. The casino is saying they were doing some
maintenance on the machines and they were set at the wrong paytables
by mistake.

I'd happily give up my gambling deduction if the standard deduction for a married couple goes from $12,000 to $50,000, like I have seen reported. It would have to be a monster gambling year for gambling losses claimed to be greater than the increased standard deduction.


I also read that the number of people who itemize would go from about 53 million to 4 million. That would be a good thing as well. The only thing missing is where does he make up of for the $2 to $9 trillion dollar loss in government revenue?
