RE: [vpFREE] Sampling Ethnic Las Vegas II (XVP)

What an awesome report. Very entertaining. I am a local for 24 years & have not been aware of a few eateries mentioned. I am saving the report to be sure to visit places I have not tried.

A generally higher level of obsequiousness, for whatever that's worth.

RE: [vpFREE] Do you play any of these VP games, or are they extinct?

There's still plenty of double jokers in AC. Most quarter ones are 10 coins, but you can still find five coin . Double jackpot and double double jackpot were my late fathers favorite. He used to spend 3 months in Laughlin each year playing those. I haven't seen one in years, but I play them on an old version of winpoker.

Sevens Wild was at Horseshoe Tunica when I was there earlier this year. Unfortunately I can't remember the exact pay table but it was playable at the $1 level.

Double Joker Poker is available in most Atlantic City casinos. Unfortunately it is usually the version that returns 8 for a full house and 5 for a flush instead of the better paying 10 for a full house and 8 for a flush.

Yes, prospects are very slim that this will pass...

The DDJ and DJ were removed from the Laughlin Golden Nugget about a month ago. They got rid of the coin droppers.

If you buy George Carlin's argument, the only people you can complain about are the voters, not the politicians.

Yes, but if you don't vote, you can't use those bumper stickers that say, "Don't blame me, I voted for the OTHER A-Hole"

Certainly the game is rigged. Don't let that stop you; if you don't bet, you can't win. -Lazarus Long
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But, in practice, there is. -Yogi Berra
There is no such thing as luck. There is only adequate or inadequate preparation to cope with a statistical universe. -Robert Heinlein

I like George Carlin's response to that. Those who vote are
responsible for putting the politicians in who cause all the problems,
so it's those who don't vote who have the right to complain.

And in a frighteningly large number of states, those same "politicians"
are trying to keep their jobs forever by making sure we are ineligible to
vote.

Too senior or disabled to drive? Too bad... 'cause you need a driver's
license to vote.
