I assume you are playing dollar machines at Taj as nothing else there is playable?

They up front comped me for flight and hotel (2 nights at Taj) and I had a great time. I made enough comps for all my meals with a balance left over. I found the service at Taj MUCH better than the last time I was there (8 yrs ago?). I got early the second morning and lost my comp card, the club booth was closed. I checked with a security lady and she walked me personally across the massive casino floor to the high roller slot room and made sure they made me a card! They don't have the best machine in A/C but it was a good re-introduction to the A/C scene. I found the restaurants we much better since I was last there also. I took a jaunt over to the Borgata played about three hours made $300.00. When I got home and checked my account online they had $10.00 in free play and FREE hotel rooms during the week! Why would I play at FoxSun again? I won't. My next move will be to return my Sun players card in an envelope with a note saying good by. Rod.......

[vpFREE] Re: re Gold Coast
Regarding Friday 4x VP...if you are Emerald do you get 12x points? As an Emerald member, what kind of FSP/cashback are you getting from mailers for the trailing 3 months if you don't mind me asking?
I'm thinking about grinding up to Emerald in the next couple months only playing NSUD at $1 on Fridays. I'm trying to figure out how big a bankroll I need for this.
To get to Sapphire (currently at Ruby with 2,691 pts, need 27,381 more) it'll take me 7 hours which I can do on one Friday assuming 4x points. I calculated that I'll need at least $2,000 to weather one standard deviation of downswing assuming no mailers. I'd be slightly +EV (expected profit of $35.)
To get to Emerald (220k on top of the 30k I'll have) it'll take me 55 hours assuming 8x points on Fridays. Assuming I don't go crazy playing 8-10 hours of VP every Friday, it'll take me 5-7 Fridays to get to Emerald. My EV should be significantly higher at $1,166 without mailers but the standard deviation is more than $5k.
So in 6-8 weeks (hopefully 4x Fridays are still in effect) I should be at Emerald with an expected profit of $1200 plus or minus $5700 with 68% probability. I think a $10k bankroll would be generous for this advantage play. With mailers (hopefully someone can help me out with an approximation of the offers for each level) I can squeeze out a few more $/hour at the same variance.
Anyone know how many points you need to maintain Emerald? Is it still $250k for the trailing 6 months?
Thanks all, enjoy your Labor Day!

I've seen Wheel Poker Quick Quads recently at Silverton and Tuscany.
[vpFREE] Re: hard rock tampa robbery of jackpot winner
IF you take cash, you should head somewhere to secure it safely!
Stupid woman.
Going shopping at the mall with $30K is not exactly a good idea.

[vpFREE] The Rivers - Des Plaines IL (corrections)
At the Rivers (Des Plaines IL) the two leftmost machines in the High Limit
area have back glasses indicating the Quick Quads and Super Times pay
features respectively. The features do not exist and these are both really
normal Fifty Play. I have corrected the database. Thus no 99% or better
plays at the Rivers-Des Plaines.

[vpFREE] re Gold Coast
First on those swipes for gifts. I had a huge amount of play before I
swiped for my Birthday Gift (about 400,000 points from a few day's ago play),
but only got the lowest gift (25,000 points).
The good news was that I also got a card for a free dinner (maybe because
I'm Emerald?) and gift. The gift turned out to be $120 gift coupons for
the store, and could be used for anything. The dinner was a $150 comp. Also
received $460 in free play as a birthday gift. They didn't give so much
last year, just a dinner as I recall and maybe $50 in store money (not
useable for booze). Very nice.
The hosts are very nice at GC and always give us comps if we need them.
Also found out GC is now basing mailers on 3 months of play, apparently
last was May, June, July up til first few days of August or something like
that. Since I was out with heart operation in June (I'm healing up nicely,
thank you), I had pretty much no play, so no Sept. mailer. Also it seems
like your play gets you 3 months of mailers too, gradually diminishing if
your play tapers off perhaps. So I did get mailers for May, June, and July,
and August too despite no play in June or July definitely, and maybe none or
not much in May.
Since I played so much on last Thursday, and played more today, I had over
16,000 entries for Sat. drawing. This was the most I've ever had, but no,
I wasn't one of the 6 people called. Disappointing. I've sat through
several drawings with 2000 or even 8000 entries, nothing. I really though
16,000 would do it, but nope. I'm not lucky in drawings, and I think I'll
just stay away from them.
GC is having some extra multiple point days, I believe Monday is 11x reels,
7x VP, but you must be invited with a card in the mail (or possibly play
some 400 or so points and get a voucher, I heard part of an announcement,
but wasn't sure what I was hearing). VP 7x limited to first 10,000 points.
Fridays has 4x Vp - not sure if that is also limited.
Also the Cortez Room has now reopened. Hope they have some of the food we
like still available.
