I am pretty fast on 2 machines and can reach 2000/hr with
perfect conditions (new, fast slant-tops with perfectly
functioning buttons). I can't sustain that rate for more
than 2-3 hours. If I drop down to 1600 I can keep that
rate up for 5-6 hours.

Frank K. is quite a bit faster than I. If I were pressured
into making a guess, I would say Frank peaks at 2300/hr. He
is the fastest player I have observed.

How much freeplay and what kind of action did it take to generate the offer?

Just wondering if I need to put the LV Hilton back into the rotation.

RE: [vpFREE] Re: Hands per hour

I can do 250--300 per hour. I have no idea how you could be accurate at 1000 per hour. You'd make tons of errors touching the wrong card or the pressing the wrong button. I'm talking about multiline games at the hrh only. Single line maybe you could be accurate at 600.

there isn't a human alive or a single line machine made that one can put out 3000 hands per hour. even if it is possible, the error rate would be enormous.

RE: [vpFREE] Re: Real cost of an "error"

I have a page on my site that shows the return using wrong strategy.
Example: playing "Bonus Poker" using "Jacks or Better" strategy. When FVP
was in beta I asked Jim Wolf why our answers were different and sent him my
results. He said that my returns were from using perfect strategy on both
games. FVP returns were from using penalty free strategy.

Dan is comparing his perfect strategy results to the FVP penalty free
strategy. Dan is correct.

There are several packages that will analyze a game assuming perfect
play, and some that will generate a strategy chart and give an
approximate payback for that chart, but I am unaware of any such
software that will evaluate any strategy chart and give an accurate
expected return when following that strategy. I would like to know of
any such software.

[vpFREE] Re: Had a good year in 2010

Alan,

Thanks for the tip. I installed the app today. It looks professional and easy to use.
I have an iPhone and carry it with me every waking hour. Probably a good place to keep my diary as I never leave home without it.
Also, I am planning to get a new phone in the Spring. Can you tell me how to transfer the WinLoss data from my current phone to the new one?

Regards,
Marvin

[vpFREE] Win Loss Diary App for iPhone

Greetings,

Having received W-2Gs without significant diary documentation to support losses, we wanted to create a better means of tracking gambling activity. So our family started a small company and created WinLoss – Slot Player's Diary, a new application for the iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad.

The direct link to the iTunes site is below. We are VERY INTERESTED in FEEDBACK from video poker and slot experts/enthusiasts to further improve our software.

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/winloss-slot-players-diary/id408765252?mt=8&ls=1

Please feel free to contact us with your comments and suggestions. Feedback can be sent directly through the app or on our website at http://www.sandcroft.net/

Best Regards,
Alan

The Atlantis is the nicest place I've ever been to. However, it is incredibly expensive. If the room is free, it's a hell of a deal. But they do nickel and dime you to death.

Be quiet, you are blabbing a secret that Harrah's/ Ceasear's don't want anyone to know. The higher the card the more money you have lost if you play like 99.9% of the customers play.

Hi Manuel,

I recommend you take a look at the irs.gov website for the particulars. Topic 419 on their site gives a general overview, and from there you can link to other important IRS Publications that may help. You might also consider visiting a tax consultant if you do not already have one.

Best,
Alan

Dan ... it's unlike you to assert a claim without having firmly checked it out. Nonetheless, Frugal VP (and Wolf VP) will analyze the ER impact of certain strategy changes.

The program permits you to reorder a strategy (e.g. place "hold Pair A" over "hold 2 Pair") and analyze the adjusted ER. This is performed via the "Strategy Charts"/"Tweak" option.

Also, the program permits you to inherit the strategy of one game into another (e.g. "Inherit 9/6 JB strategy for 8/5 BP Play") and again analyze the ER impact, via an option within the "Tweak" menus.

Both options are easily executed and provide fast results.

The most recent version of Wolf VP discussed on wolfvideopoker.com (I haven't seen this) expands this capability to the ability to analyze any indicated strategy, including holds not native to the original strategy.
