[vpFREE] Want some publicity about the Suncoast debacle??
Here's your chance. I am in contact with a R-J reporter who is very interested in this story and wants to talk to some of the people who were 86'd to get the full first-hand details. This might not go public, but there is a chance they will cover it - worth a try. Negative PR on this issue may help???????
I know you all don't want your name published. I told the reporter this - and you can probably tell your story without revealing your name. If you are willing to do this, please e-mail me PRIVATELY and I will give you the details on how to contact this reporter. Obviously you can trust me not to reveal names. Probably it will be best to contact the reporter using an e-mail alias and you can do the same in contacting me, if you wish.

[vpFREE] Palms Updates
The Top of the Mint little high limit room above the Mint Lounge has closed. The video poker machines were moved and are now in front of Garduno's entrance. Best game is still 99.45% 9/4/4 Bonus Deuces and they are still excluded from promotions according to the sticker.
There is a new list of gifts for the Play, Earn and Win promo available M/W/F from today through 3/30. Top gifts are a mat charger, an MP3 player and a DVD player. No gift cards.
[vpFREE] Cornedbeef and Cabbage Question
My favorite is in Reno. Manahattan Deli all the time. They serve it in a
bowl with a cover to keep it from drying out. I love the cabbage so much, I
ask for more cabbage & less corned beef.

Anyone know where I can get good Cornedbeef and Cabbage on St. Patricks
Day? Any buffets serve it? Had some at some Irish theme bar downtown LV and
it was a joke, tough and tasteless.
Thanks for any info.

Re: [vpFREE] Ballys AC Promotion question
No idea. Some of them have you're player card # in it, but this doesnt look like it.
Trump Plaza used to have a letter code that indicated the level of player you were, but I dont play there any more, so I dont know if they still have it.
I'd go by the value of the offer's you get. I find I am playing more at Bally's and I'm getting better offers.

Does anyone know if there are any "secret" information that is encrypted in the alpha-numerical information on the monthly mailers.
One of my last mailings had the following info:

Just wondering.
Thanks.

Would the casinos listen to them? Could someone who has clout with the manufacturers like Bally and IGT, etc., convince them to convince the casinos?
Unfortunately, many people are ingorant of how the casino industry works. The casinos are the one's who decide what games, what paybacks (based on par sheets), etc, and the various slot manufacturers are competing for these limited number of slots.
For some reason, the "slot director" knows his market best and knows what his customer will play and it's hard to convince this so call "know-it-all". Many slot directors are biased or superstitious or caught up in old-school "casino holds" as opposed to new-school of daily win-rates.
Additionally, many people are simply clueless in that they don't understand the average lifespan of a slot machine in a casino or the amount of money spent by slot manufacturers to get a slot machine to market. To take a page from Buddhism, having the "right view" is critical.
From my experience talking to various slot directors, casinos don't have high meter progressive vp is that it is COUNTER-PRODUCTIVE. From a casino perspective, why have progressive vp meters where the locals or the core customer base b

We're going to be breaking down the three error types found in video poker play and covering the Team Training Technique for fixing error type II (miscues). I haven't told Bob what it is yet, and I'm hoping to surprise and all of you. It's very counter intuitive.
We also have on William McCown a leading author in the field of gambling problems to talk about his book "Best Possible Odds".
And Mark Dace international Blackjack player to discuss his brush with the Russian Mob.

[vpFREE] Re: Hard Rock
Inside sources tell me that the new owners are going to tone the pool party down a bit. Im sure it still will be ridiculous. More people at the pool wont necessarily mean more gambling dollars just more liquor revenue which isnt going to keep the place afloat. While gambling during pool season the machines didn't fill up any more than normal, but HRH is known as a table game casino. From what I see and hear from personnel they are trying to get more slot action which is more than slowly coming around. It will be interesting to see what new strategies they are going to implement in the coming months.

Lots of turnover in last 6 months. Most notably Richie Waikus, swing shift floor manager. The do have promotions monthly and that's ok.

I play there quite often and there are always malfunctions on the card readers, point play, kiosks, buttons etc. Look how long it took them to figure out the quick quads were giving 6.5 to $1.25 on the points. Instead of just fixing the problem and leaving the machines they took out two of the three machines and the point problem(By the way I didnt abuse their error because Im not much of a quick quad player to begin with.) Love the place but the slot department needs some help. Hosts tell me they are competitive with other local casinos but they offer no multipliers on VP because they have "good poker." Ive told them other places have better poker and multipliers to make up for the comp value. I cant complain about most of the staff though, they are great, drinks are great and the good ole rock music is better than the elevator music at most other joints.
