I am not familiar with that format, even though I know Sam's inventory pretty well. They do have a 25-cent Triple Play, progressive each line, plus progressive for dealt royal, that has 8-5 BP on it. They have another bank, same thing, except the only game decent on it from what I remember is PNSU.

Every 10/7 DB I have ever seen there in last couple years is $2 for a point. I would rather play one of their many 9/7 DB progressives.

In my opinion Sam's Town is one of the very best places to play for quarters. It is at the top of my list. I just love that place.

[vpFREE] Re: Multiple downtown (and Sam's Town) questions. Please HELP!

Thanks Tom for the room suggestions! I'm not going to call my host about vp inventory, thought that I might get the answers here. We are planning a walk each morning, also great suggestions with the wipes. Nothing worse than getting sick while on vacation! I think a few of my questions about promos will be answered at the beginning of next month like the Binions promo and the Sam's Birthday Party. Thanks again for your help, I'm looking forward to the trip! If you are at 4Q on the 19th and 20th we will either be at the 10/7 progressives or at one of the bars playing the 9/6 progressives!

Re: [vpFREE] Multiple downtown (and Sam's Town) questions. Please HELP!

Hello Pat
I think you biggest concern should be your mom's health. All of your
questions can be answered by calling up your respective hosts at all these
places.
a. MSS has plenty of drafts, so dress extra warm
b. be sure to wipe down all machines with sanitizer wipes. There is a cold
and flu mini epidemic in vegas.
c. The rooms at MSS can get very noisy due to wind , trains , and passing
cars. make this known to the room clerk with tip in hand.
d. Not sure if your cardiac post op calls for walking, but beware some of
the side streets downtown should be avoided. I'd advise walking up and down
the Fremont Street experience early in the morning a few times in a circular
route.

PS - you'll want to get the American Casino guide and LVA value books. I'll
be staying at the 4 queens Feb 19,20th too .
Make sure, at the 4 Queens, you ask for a room, opposite fremont street
with as high a floor as possible to avoid rock concert class noise !

best wishes...Tom

[vpFREE] Multiple downtown (and Sam's Town) questions. Please HELP!

We are flying out to the city we love Feb 16-21. Bringing my mother, who is finally done with cardiac rehab after her heart surgery in September! Staying at MSS for a couple of nights, and 4Q for the final 3. We are avid VP players, DB, DDB, and NSUD, especially progressives! I have several questions regarding a few of the downtown properties and Sam's.

We have offers from Fitz and Sam's for food and free play. Do we need to book rooms at each of those properties to get the free stuff???

Also, when I check my bconnected offers, on the Sam's Feb room offer it says "you're invited to special VIP events! Birthday Party Feb 18-21" Does anyone know what that is??

Binions has a swipe promo going now, does anyone know when that ends?

VPfree2 says that Golden Gate has 9/6 DDB progressives at the Bar, are those RF only or 6 way including quads? Does GG have any promos going?

At the Cal, are the 10/7 DB machines with the 1,000 coin Heart RF bonus $3 per point? How about the quarter machines near the Main Street Bar?

Sam's has 10/7 DB listed, are those $2 per point earned or $1-1?

Thanks for all of your help! I am in uber planning mode right now and your answers will help me line out our trip!

I'm not sure why you would trust a casino employee over a very reliable inventory contributor on this site, but the game is there.

PROMOTIONS

Even if there is just one stand alone flush attack in a house if there
is a promotion going on you have to analyze itto see if the flush
attack fits the situation. For instance, say you get a drawing ticket for every 100 coin or 125 coin or better hit. You make a quad every 429 games and a bonus flush every 220 games. So you will get a drawing ticket every 145 games.

> This is a linked bank trick, not alot of flush attackers know about it, and it takes some explaining. Imagine you are playing on a linked bank. All the other machines are vacant. No one else is playing. You trigger flush attack mode. If you look at all the other machines you will see that in the upper half of the screens they all say "FLUSH ATTACK, next flush gets 125 coin
bonus." The same as your machine.

Then you make a flush. You get payed 125 coins. Now you look at the
upper half of the screens on all the other machines. You will see that they are totally blank. Just clear blue background.

You pull a quarter out of your pocket and insert it into the machine
beside you. You play one hand and stop. You will now notice that the upper half of that screen is flashing "Play 5 Coins." The rest of the machines on the bank will not start flashing "Play 5 Coins" until they get action. And that's the trick. You can tell if a machine has had action since the last time the bonus flush got hit.
>
> So you walk into a casino and up to a bank of 14 linked flush attacks who just happen to all be vacant. You walk up and down the row checking to see how many machines got played since the last light. You look in the bottom left corner to see how many coins the last player was playing on each machine. Half of them show 5-ooin action. The rest show 1, 2, and 3 coin action.

Conclusion? The next flush is going to turn the light on. That is, if you are betting 5 coins. But the bank is also giving every indication that there is 13 or 14 points worth of flush in it. Making one or two 1-coin flushes will probably turn the light on. Which way should you go? That's up to you.
_________________

You walk by the same 14 machine bank a little later. There are 4
>players. Two appear to be hustler types and two appear to be ploppie types. Not a very good game to exploit. But how about a short term play. Read the other machines to see how much action the bank has had since the last time the light was on. If most or all are flashig "Play 5 Coins." The light will probably be on in a minute or two. Grab a seat and play one light.

For just one light it doesn't mean that much. But 20 or 25 shots a
week like this and the money adds up. Good luck.

he movie was called "Emperor Of The North Pole".

I never carried a gun. It's best to travel with someone you trust. My policy was I didn't meet anyone out on the rails. In the towns fine. But not on the rails. I didn't sleep in the hobo jungles. I didn't trust any strangers. I found my own spots to crash. I thought that spot in Spokane was a good one. Turns out it wasn't.

The job of the Railroad Police (better known as bulls) is to protect the cargo. The only thing keeping anyone out of those stackers you see going thru Vegas is an easily broken federal seal. The Vegas yard got real hot one time because some of the cargo was being thrown off the hot shots by thieves up in the desert north of LV. Those idiots give freight tramps a bad name. I've been given warning tickets. Arrested one time.

Backpack Phil and me got in a little jam onetime north of LV. The hotshot stopped. We were in the back of a 48. We both got up. He watched his side of the tracks. I watched mine. Here come three toughs up the tracks. When they got up to our car one of them headed for the ladder up the side of the 48. "Be glad to meer you guys up in SLC. We don't meet anyone on the rails." The guy starts coming up the ladder. I jumped up on the deck. Phil grabbed his ball peen hammer. I was waiting for the guy;s head to pop up above the deck. I was gonna kick a field goal with my steel toed boots. It took that idiot all the way until his head was about 2 inches below the deck to figure out what was gonna happen to him. I can still see the look his eyes. He went back down the ladder and they went on up the tracks. We had to watch out for those idiots all the way to SLC.

[vpFREE] Re: Flush Attacks

Almost all Flush Attacks were playable, depending on whether they were linked or if they were individual machines.

If linked: you waited for others to the light the bonus.

If individual: you played a conservative strategy (FLATT 50) , and made 2% any time. Later, they changed the number of flushes it took to light the bonus, and made them less-playable.

On linked banks I read a book between lights. The year I played them, I read 363 books and made a 6 figure income. During this time my nickname became, "The Bookworm".

I have spent the money, but I still posses the knowledge I learned from reading the books. Hm...perhaps there is a moral there?
