[vpFREE] xvp - Resorts International deal

When in Atlantic City recently we did the Resorts International upgrade
deal - bring in another top tier card, and get their top card. Two of us had
Caesars 7 Star Cards, one had a 7 Star Companion card, but they accepted
that. (I don't know if they will always accept the companion card, but they
did in this case.)

This was a really great deal. We received $300 in spa credits, which we
used the same day (having booked the spa appointments in advance). You can
use for product or procedures or get $300 in spa gift cards to use at
another time. The Red Carpet card also gave us a $100 meal, and if you go to
Capriccio you get a complimentary bottle of wine. Some of the other nice
benefits include access to the player's lounge, 2 revue show tickets,
complimentary manicure (1 per quarter - we didn't do this in addition to the spa
treatments, but I guess we could have), free valet tip (2 per month).

We also could have matched a offer to another casino in free play up to (I
think $200) or get $25 in free play. Unfortunately our free play didn't
work in the machine and we had limited time to try again.

Red Carpet members also get various complimentary or reduced rate rooms and
meals, express lines, complimentary valet parking, a President's Dinner
(once every 6 months), wine of the month (once per month from A Time to
Wine), a complimentary room at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut or Pennslvania, and
other benefits.

I believe that Diamond members can also upgrade, probably to the Paramount
levl that doesn't include the $300 in spa credit.

The cards expire in 6 months. It doesn't matter if you had an older
Resorts club card, you can still get a new one with the upgrade.

This is one of the best upgrade or match up deals I've seen.

RE: [vpFREE] JOB-"progressive" bad pay tables OR 9/6 and bad comp credits? Help please?

ellenoralan seemed to think that 9/6 Jacks at $10 per point at Caesars properties in Atlantic City had positive expectancy. They were still negative. At $10 per point you would get 0.1% in comps. There was no bonus. The slot back for your play would be less than 0.2%. Even counting comps and slot back at full value (they both have expectancy less than their face value), with perfect play you would obtain less than 0.9954+0.001+0.002=0.9984< 1. In my opinion $50 per tier point is absurd. All slots should be $5 per point and all video poker $10 per point. It's no wonder that the casinos in Atlantic City are going into bankruptcy, they are losing their customer base!

Subject: [vpFREE] JOB-"progressive" bad pay tables OR 9/6 and bad comp
credits? Help please?

Its probably been brought up before (many times probably) but since I am new
to the group I'll put it out there anyway.
Just back from "what's left" of Atlantic City after 5 nights. Some time ago
all Caesars properties changed the tier system on ALL positive expectation
games in AC form $10 coin in to $50 coin for 1 tier point. This has been a
major talked about issue in the acvpp (Atlantic City Video Poker Player)
yahoo group since this started last spring.

While there I saw almost NO vacant seats at the 8 progressive 7/5 JOB
machines most of the time at Caesars. I played some in the early morning
just to see how things turned out and to get a seat. The progressive on
these machines started at $1,300 when I arrived, and late in the week grew
to over $1,900 (25 cent machines).

Right next to these progressives, were the 9/6 JOB machines with the $50
coin=1 tier point and most of the time were ALWAYS vacant.

My question(s) are, is there any time one should be playing the 7/5
progressive machines (based of the progressive amount) instead of the full
pay machines with the bad comp/tier requirements? Is there a formula when
the 7/5 machine is preferred? Are all those folks playing the 7/5
progressive machines wrong?

Thanks for the help

The JWD should be a better play if you are a .25 player.

Without software handy, the payoff would have to be close to a 2500-3000 rf to match a 9/6 machine.

OTOH if you are struggling to make a tier level, the Diamond book or free Diamond Club might be in their math. Someone also said (not sure if this is true) play some bad VP before you ask for a junket,

Rich

Hardly. I've been dealt at least one royal on quarter Ten Play for $10,000. I've been dealt a single line royal on a $25 machine for $100,000.
Getting it on the multi-line was NOT better.

I got one downtown LV on a prog. for the first time ever a couple weeks ago. It is weird that it also held, locked and paid immediately. Kind of anticlimactic haha.
