When in Atlantic City recently we did the Resorts International upgrade
deal - bring in another top tier card, and get their top card. Two of us had
Caesars 7 Star Cards, one had a 7 Star Companion card, but they accepted
that. (I don't know if they will always accept the companion card, but they
did in this case.)
This was a really great deal. We received $300 in spa credits, which we
used the same day (having booked the spa appointments in advance). You can
use for product or procedures or get $300 in spa gift cards to use at
another time. The Red Carpet card also gave us a $100 meal, and if you go to
Capriccio you get a complimentary bottle of wine. Some of the other nice
benefits include access to the player's lounge, 2 revue show tickets,
complimentary manicure (1 per quarter - we didn't do this in addition to the spa
treatments, but I guess we could have), free valet tip (2 per month).
We also could have matched a offer to another casino in free play up to (I
think $200) or get $25 in free play. Unfortunately our free play didn't
work in the machine and we had limited time to try again.
Red Carpet members also get various complimentary or reduced rate rooms and
meals, express lines, complimentary valet parking, a President's Dinner
(once every 6 months), wine of the month (once per month from A Time to
Wine), a complimentary room at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut or Pennslvania, and
other benefits.
I believe that Diamond members can also upgrade, probably to the Paramount
levl that doesn't include the $300 in spa credit.
The cards expire in 6 months. It doesn't matter if you had an older
Resorts club card, you can still get a new one with the upgrade.
This is one of the best upgrade or match up deals I've seen.
