They were just sold that is the problem. They took themselves private
by taking on a lot of debt. They agreed to this deal when the economy
was better, so now that have a lot more interest payments and a
slowing economy and they are feeling squeezed. If you are correct and
you vote with your feet, their cuts will lead to even less revenue
and less profits and they may end up in default. What they are trying
to do is see what they can get away with - if people keep coming
despite the cuts they make more money. Apparently, from your comments
you are still playing there, so the cuts are working for them

Hi Pal:)...sorry your name is too long to type out:)
I respect that you can make a good living at what you do. It takes a lot of time and knowledge. I would consider you work two full time jobs. I think all the pros on here are very intelligent people and have made good lives for themselves. I just play for fun and perks of trips but maybe if I could do what you do, I would.LOL I just don't have the time. A couple trips a year for fun is all the time I have. I love reading how people go and win big. Makes me happy. Keep on winning.

[vpFREE] Station offers - MIA?

I'm used to getting my Station mailers well before the first of the month,
and I haven't seen anything in my mail from them yet.

So I sign online to view my offers online, and I discover for March: nada.
zilch. zip. Only this message:

"There are no offers available at this time. Offers are rewarded often so
please check back later. For futher assistance visit one of the Rewards
Centers or contact our Solution Center at 221-6660."

I gave them over $15,000 in action on the Optimums in January. Not a ton by
any standards, but that doesn't get me ANYTHING? Since when?

Is Station just slacking on mailing offers and posting them online this
month, or have they officially enshrined "Advantage players, pound sand" as
company policy?

[vpFREE] Texas Station Downgrades

Was at Texas Station this morning, ready to play with the 6x points in
the downgraded mailer. First bad sign was the daily tobacco comps were
reduced from $14 to $7 for both the wife and I.

The second bad sign was all of the machines that were $2 per point are
now $4 per point...some of them are labelled as such and others are not.

Does anyone know if this change ($4 = 1 point on the full pays) has
happened at the other Stations?

Time to re-evaluate my play there.

A breakeven game has only about a 50% chance of being profitable,
assuming your loss limit is about the same as the casino's. If your
loss limit is half the casino's, the odds go to 2-1 against (33%). If
your loss limit is a tenth of the casino's, the odds are 10-1 against
(9%).

Re: [vpFREE] A good run, lucky vs good

What do you think about 2DB as a catch up game then?

At $1 level?

RF = 4K
2222A = 2K
2222X = 1K
5 Aces = $800
5 3 thru 5 = $250
5 6 thru K = $100
WRF = $125
SF = $45 - $60 (game about 98.5 at $45, about 99.5 at $60)
4K = $20
Flush = $10
Straight or 3K = $5
This game is on multistrike, have seen both paytables on it.

The problem I c though with this chasing is that except for Robert Singer it doesn't always work. I am happy for your spell of good luck -please pass it on!

BTW this game is available at $2 at the Orleans even up to $25 -I am not suggesting it's play, just an observation.

I've had some good luck recently, the latest of which was my largest VP
jackpot to date. I'll warn you ahead of time--read no further if my
extremely good fortune might encourage you into bad habits. In other words,
don't copy me unless you know for sure you'll win. ;-)

After a brutal beating of an $800 loss playing $1 DDB, I was about ready to
call it a day. However, I decided I'd take a crapshoot at $2 Triple Double
Bonus with a couple final bills and hope to get a lucky quad and quickly
recoup some losses. I FULLY EXPECTED TO COME OUT EMPTY HANDED and I KNEW
THE ODDS WERE AGAINST ME, but ended up holding a single Ace and drawing a 4,
followed by 3 more Aces!! JACKPOT MUSIC!! $8000 felt pretty good.
***************************************************************

A couple of comments. You didn't say how much $1 double double bonus you played. If you don't hit the kicker hands or better you will lose about 7.14% on average. A 15% loss in an hour or 2 of play will happen more than you think.

I also took a look at your TDB hit. It was the 9/5 version with a 97% return and variance of 100.? At the $2 level, each hand costs you $0.30 to play. Plus your aces w/kicker holding an ace is in the 1 in 20,000 range. I agree it was lucky but I'm not sure knew how expensive the play really is.

Not many choose to go to the 1st 36 of the list for their health care when they have a choice
and the access. Many do choose # 37, however.

Just ask the Canadians along the US border.

The US is 37th in Health Care and 1/3 of health care costs go to administration and profits. Yes, we are third world, profits b4 patients.
