They were just sold that is the problem. They took themselves private
by taking on a lot of debt. They agreed to this deal when the economy
was better, so now that have a lot more interest payments and a
slowing economy and they are feeling squeezed. If you are correct and
you vote with your feet, their cuts will lead to even less revenue
and less profits and they may end up in default. What they are trying
to do is see what they can get away with - if people keep coming
despite the cuts they make more money. Apparently, from your comments
you are still playing there, so the cuts are working for them
