Re: [vpFREE] 4 ST, Inside, 3 Hi Cards

Besides the more obvious better hands, this hand against 3 to a
straight flush with 1 high card and 2 gaps depends on a straight
penalty. JT7sAQ is a straight flush draw. KT9sAQ is a straight draw.

Hello.

I apologize for re-opening an old discussion. I think that I remember a thread that dealt with the above "strategy line" for 9/6 JOB. I can't seem to find that thread.

There seem to have been some interesting comments as to why you should not ALWAYS use the above rule. I think that I recall several "easy-to-remember" (IMHO) rules of thumb. Can someone help me out with this?

Thank you.

..... Peter

RE: [vpFREE] Sampling Ethnic Las Vegas II (XVP)

Hi James -

Thanks for reading the TR.

To answer your question on how I select restaurants:

On a regular basis, I check the restaurant reviews in the Review Journal, LV Weekly, Vegas Seven and Las Vegas magazine. I also go into the chowhound board to read comments by the board members particularly the local residents. Sometimes I work it backwards by finding a restaurant offering gift certificates on sites like Groupon, LivingSocial, Amazon, restaurant.com etc. and then check Yelp, Tripadvisor and Urbanspoon to see if the restaurant is getting favorable reviews by diners. I also frequent the blogs of Michael Uzman and John Curtas. My last step is to check the online menus.

I hope the above helps.
