Here's a sky view of the pedestrian bridge that crosses Harmon.

Just take the rolling steps or the lift through the Chandelier to the

Re: [vpFREE] Re: Need a quick answer on City Center XVP

There's an exit from the 1st storey of The Cosmopolitan, near the
vintage eyewear and swimwear shops, that places you directly on a
pedestrian bridge with access to City Centre. Whilst I've never
walked over the bridge (which crosses Harmon), I don't believe it
would be a difficult journey.

On the other hand, once inside of The Cosmopolitan, I don't think I'd
like to go to City Centre, unless it was to dine at Mastro's inside
of Crystals for dinner! The Cosmopolitan is just so much more unique
and chic than Aria, in my opinion.

Cheers.

Re: [vpFREE] Re: Need a quick answer on City Center XVP

I don't know. Harmon looks unfriendly to pedestrians, but perhaps one can
leave through the valet parking exit and walk across and somehow enter Vdara
and get to Aria that way. Might be shorter, but a little forbidding.

I obviously meant an exit on the west side of Cosmo, not east.

Gmblnmn, is there a way to exit Cosmo out the east side? I haven't looked for it myself, but that would bypass Crystals and be much closer to Aria.

Re: [vpFREE] Re: Need a quick answer on City Center XVP

I think the question of "extensive walking" is answered with a resounding
NO. It is a hike to get from Cosmo to Aria and vice versa. Walking through
Crystals is a long way, up or down an escalator, no matter how you do it. I
do agree with the suggestion to park at Cosmo, since the garage is much
easier to maneuver and leads directly into the casino.

Maybe someone has a better idea, but I would park in the Cosmopolitan underground parking garage. Turn into Harmon from LV Blvd. and the self-parking garage entrance is clearly marked on your right. Of course there will be handicap parking spaces.

Take the elevator up to the casino. When you're finished at Cosmo, walk out one of the doors onto LV Blvd., cross Harmon and enter Crystals, their shopping area. Walk through Crystals to Aria.

Do you mean they didn't even try the no-mailer route first? Is this Suncoast-deja-vu all over again? What are they THINKING?

Hey Cannery! Listen up! Here's some advice. Either put the 8-5 back at the bar, or if you really want some lower pay tables, put 7-5 Bonus, 9-6-5 Double Bonus, and 9-5 Double Double, and put a 1-1/2% meter on them! In fact, make separate jackpots for each game. Get those jackpots up to $2000, $2500, even $3000, and watch the players line up to play! And you STILL MAKE MONEY!

And when you get done with the bar, put some similar banks on the floor. Get rid of the 7-5 Double Double and other grind-em-up games like that. Give the players a good game! And welcome everyone! Don't start kicking people out, the word will get around, and players won't like it. BE PLAYER FRIENDLY! Like you used to be.

Keep the cheap plastic toys, and give us some good games! Players want a shot! Players want to have fun! Be competitive in the locals market! You're making a mistake like this. Don't become a grind joint. I'm tellin ya.

Yes, those 8/5 BP progressives at the Cannery bars were downgraded a few months ago. Then they downgraded most of the multiline 8/5 BP.

Now they have told some Dancer-educated senior citizens that they aren't allowed to play video poker there anymore.

These people haven't broken any of the slot club club rules nor have they been disruptive or tried to cheat the casino. The official reason given is that "You're too good of a player for us."

Sounds like the Cannery only wants customers who are dumb and/or losers.

[vpFREE] XVP - Free Spirit Airline 5K Miles

This is off topic but may help some of you.

Spirit Airlines will give you 5,000 miles if you use the following link:

http://www.getfreemiles.com/

They have run similar promotions in the past. The points post fairly quickly, and I have never been hacked.

HOWEVER, several major firms (including large ones like CHASE and Capital One) have recently reported email security breaches. So, as with any email, you register at your own risk. But I did, and hopefully the free miles will benefit you as well.

The Taj is getting very stingy with EVERYTHING lately. I asked if they were having an Easter Sunday brunch-oh yes, its $30-WHAT!? What happened to the free brunch? FYI I am also Signature but at this point if I dont make it again for next year I wont be upset-there arent enough perks to really push for it.

Sorry about returning to what is now an old subject, but I've been away from the computer for a few days.

You should not lose sight of the fact that, in all liklihood, 30% of that huge jackpot won by a Canadian will go to the U.S. Government.

Could someone explain the logic of that to me? Canadians (and I am one) visit the U.S. legally, for entertainment purposes (playing video poker), and if we are lucky enough to win more than $1200 in one play, have 30% of the jackpot withheld for taxes.

While we can recover that withheld amount by convincing the IRS that we are net losers for the year, but for that year only, the very notion that visiting tourists, who exert no demand at all on the finances or social fabric of the country, and who are probably net multi-year losers, ought to contribute 30% of such fortunate wins is, to me, just not right.

correctly, while you are in the current year without signature but earning
