As you know, NOTI, it's not really a 50-50 proposition until you've played a whole lot of hands.   There have to be some extra losses to make up for the bigger wins you get when you hit a Royal.   For example, using the OP's example of 16,000 hands of 99% Double Joker, you'll do worse than the expected 99% return about 59% of the time.   After 40,000 hands it's about 54-46.   After 100,000 hands, it's still about 53-47.

[vpFREE] Re: LVRJ: Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas announces pay-to-park program

 

I seem to remember many years ago that The Silver Slipper instituted FREE parking as an enticement to get people to stop there and it was a huge success. Play boomed because of it. Now it seems that The Cosmopolitan has a legitimate need to charge based upon the article in the paper. I fully expect that the parking programs will evolve to where the deadbeats are having to pay to park at any of the strip casinos but the true customers and gamblers will be comped. I am one of those deadbeats who has taken advantage of the free parking at Bellagio just because I wanted to see what was showing in the Conservatory. Years back I played enough to get comped at Bellagio but now getting comped there is impossible for me because they have removed anything playable at the $1 or $2 level.
Just my 7.425 grains of silver's worth.
