I've never seen Wolf, but I know I like the high speed simulation that Win Poker does much faster than VPFW.

Interestingly, I found out something a few weeks ago that I had not known about VPFW. I was entering in some custom pay table and the software was not sensitive to the changes when I adjusted by a relatively small amount of coins. It happened to be important to me, and I found that the game was worth the "same" amount after I adjusted some payoffs, and I wondered what the heck? I took out my Win Poker and did the same exercise and I got the exact changes successfully.

Anyway, I like them both, of course. But it looks like I need to acquire Wolf too.

Are the point multiplier limitations at Suncoast and Sam's Town based on 10,000 base points like at Gold Coast and The Orleans?

[vpFREE] Re: Wheel Poker with Quick Quads

These are the paytables for the quarter WP with QQ games:

99.54% JoB 1-2-3-4-6-9-25-50-800
99.17% BP 1-2-3-4-5-08-25-40-80-50-800
99.11% DB 1-1-3-5-7-09-50.0-80-160-50.0-800
98.98% DDB 1-1-3-4-6-09-50.0-80-160-160-400-50.0-800

I know from the Wizardofodds that the DDB has the best QQ paytable followed by JoB which is slightly less. I have no idea what the extra coin for the Wheel adds or subtracts, and what the new order of best to worst for these 4 games might be. Thanks for letting me know how to go about figuring this out.

As of when they first came out (and I don't think it has been changed since then, but I haven't kept on top of the info), the average value of a wheel spin is 157.461 credits. Add that to the (7-coin) payout of all the quads, and you have your adjusted paytable to use in generating your strategy.

this doesn't actually help when playing the gas promo, though, does
it? usually the way "2x" works at south point is that you can redeem
points for twice as much cash, not that you earn twice as many points;
so you wouldn't actually get gas cards any faster.

yes. i don't know of any analysis that's been made public, though.

> I checked the WizardofOdds site and he hasnt' written up the game yet.  I'm asking because I saw the game at SouthPoint and know that it may be one of the best games there.

also one of the highest-variance games there. over 50% of ER is tied
up in quads, and VAR approaches 100. and at five-play quarters, with
delays for the wheel spins, it's not especially fast either.

basically, unless you're playing it for fun, you're probably better
off with NSUD or multiline SDB, which have only slightly lower EV.

good luck,

RE: [vpFREE] Q. about WinPoker

Gregory asked: Does the program provide for final distributions of various hand types
(full house, two pair etc.)? The trial version has the analysis
disabled, and there doesn't seem to be a list of what, exactly, is
analyzed.

Yes it does. I'm no longer associated with WinPoker --- but it remains a good product. The main thing missing from WinPoker that is available with other products is the ability to create a strategy. But for the basics, WinPoker is excellent and has features nobody else does.

Personally I use VFW, Wolf VP, and WinPoker. They each have features the others don't.
