[vpFREE] Palms cruise offer

I was surprised to get this too, don't know if this was something new there or not. I've been playing heavily since those darn bingo cards got me playing at the Palms again in Jan. First won a little at bingo, did well for several sessions on my favorite machine playing DDB, now on losing streak on same machine that has taken away all winnings plus more. $1 five play.

Called to ask about offer and found that there are apparently a bunch of different ones depending on your play, and if u are a local or not (why should that matter, but it does and my guess is locals get less). My offer was for Inside 7 day Caribbean or Bahamas.

They said no extra costs for port taxes, but who knows til you get certificate. You can only pick up on one day, but I'll be out of town anyway. Also I can get a 7 day NCL in balcony from my Harrahs 7 star (I would pay NCF and port taxes).

It would be nice if Palms keeps up extras to match some of the things you can get at other casinos (such as show tickets....but not at Palms please! How about Celine? Or better tournaments, gourmet events, free spa treatments, better quality. Gifts....one can dream....)

Couldn't agree more Frank. I'm a service manager at a large domestic auto dealer and customers ask me for my expert advise on what their vehicle may need as far as repairs or maintenance. And, almost on a daily basis, there will be a customer that will argue with me about the answer to their question. They'll say things like: my cousin told me this or my neighbor told me that or I read this on the internet. I've been working on this manufacturer's line of products for almost 30 years, I educate myself on new product information and I'm always open to to the posibility of coming across something I've never experienced before in my line. But what I'll never understand is why someone needs to dispute what the experts in a field suggest and then argue about it.

Why would anyone ask an expert for advise if they have no plans to heed such advise?

Re: [vpFREE] Re: Palms Cruise

What was the offer?

What kind of play was needed to get it?

I'd love to get cruise offers from casinos. :)

[vpFREE] Re: Palms Cruise

I was surprised I got one (which I can't use) and assumed it was for good looks and personality.

I'll ask my host next time I see him.

Everyone else I know, who plays the same games, and machines I do got one, yet we did not.

I was told it was based on average daily theo, but people who have not played in 5 months got the offer.

Any clue how to get included?

OK...OK...that's enough pro Bob statements. He's hard enough to live with as it is, and I'm forced to spend several hours a week in a small room with the guy.

Plus: he's just not that used to solidarity, support, and agreement, he probably doesn't know how to take it. No point casting swine amongst pearls:)

[vpFREE] Peppermill Reno question

With regard to the Pepp's 2x-4x multipliers, I just noticed the fine print for the May dates says "before play activate your account at super kiosk" - is this new? When we were there a few weeks ago on a 3X day, we asked a boothling if we needed to swipe our cards anywhere and she said to just play - nothing more was required. Our comps were at about .3, which we took to mean as .1 base comps.

I think I answered privately to Caribou. Whatever, I want
the list to know I am solidly in Bob's corner and
I have to believe the majority of members are, too.

Wow! This article turned my stomach! I can't believe the elitist obnoxious
comments from Bob! This is Bob's side of the story, and even reading that, I
think it was Bob that crossed the line! Suggesting to someone that he pay $300
to Bob for scouting machines? Is this guy for real? That's nuts! He is lucky
the guy didn't get up and punch him in the face for that obnoxious comment! (If
he did, maybe someone would have paid him $300 for the punch ;-) )

Does anyone know what criteria was used to determine if you got the "free cruise" offer from Palms?

Everyone else I know, who plays the same games, and machines I do got one, yet we did not.

I was told it was based on average daily theo, but people who have not played in 5 months got the offer.

Hard to believe they'd be able to put an actual "bar" in their K-Mart
location.
Or is none of this even relevant at a location where they don't serve
liquor?

[vpFREE] Re: Las Vegas Hilton Eliminating Cashback

That's also how it is at the Hilton in Atlantic City. Comps disappear after 6 months even if you have activity. I hate that. I usually pick up some desserts from the cafe to take home before I leave.

The good news is, until that time we are still getting cashback or comps which varies by machine PLUS free play which is a standard 0.1% on all the video poker machines I checked. After May 1st, it isn't clear what we will earn. I fear it will be just 0.1% free play or comps.

Apparently not all video poker games are giving 0.1% free play because I found one today that was only giving 0.06% in addition to 0.16% comps. New brochures are available with new tier requirements and benefits. According to rules, comps and free play will now only be good for 6 months FROM DATE EARNED.
