If $5.00 in is one tier point on reels then I could make emerald in my four visits a year. But since I play only video poker then I will never make emerald again and Boyd has screwed me.

Just got home from Vegas. My tier points as of August first was 281,455 which under the new system converted to 1648 I play a mix of jacks, NSUD, and triple bonus plus.

My guess is they went back to see what exact game you played.   237,100 coin-in at Video Poker amounts to $139 per tier point according to the conversion.   If you were playing 9/6 Jacks or a mix of NSUD and 8/5 Bonus poker that's right in line with what people have been reporting while clocking machines.     Check with the players club to see if you've already qualified to renew your Emerald Status.   If so, you're probably already set to be Emerald for 2019 as well.   Let us know what they say.

I just sent a short summary of my opinion about the changes to Boyd.  I used the "Contact Us"  option available in my online B-Connected account.


"Wow your reductions in the new B-Connected benefits are HUGE.  STN is my new casino home."

I received an immediate robotic response email indicating that my message was received.  I wonder if it will be understood???

I know some of the details are still in question, but given what we know, the decision has already been made for me.  Boyd will get exactly $0 of my gambling (and other) budget going forward.  Looks like Stations are literally the only game in town.
