Re: [vpFREE] Re: XVP Fox Car Rental

Y'all should check out Hotwire. That's who I use, and their prices can be
about $13-$20/day. Note that's before the ungodly huge taxes every
jurisdiction tacks on. The catch is you don't know what company you get
until after you pay; that might be a deal breaker for some but I personally
don't care so it works well for me. And note that when they say
"non-refundable," they mean it.

I seems to get Hertz and Alamo most often, but I've gotten Fox, Dollar, etc.
a few times too. I get National quite a bit also.

Re: [vpFREE] Re: Ultimate X

DEFINITELY not. Since your actions on this hand affects the multiplier on
your hand, you can't keep the multiplier and the hand strategy "independent"
like you can in STP. In STP you have no control over your multiplier; you
either win it or you don't. In UX you have complete control over your
multiplier.

Your Multistrike analysis is very astute. In Multistrike, your optimal
strategy is some mix of hit frequency (to get you to the next level) and pay
back contribution on that level. If you take too much in the pay back
contribution category, you lose in the hit frequency category and lose in
your overall EV. Likewise, if you take too much hit frequency, you are
losing payback % on that particular level and losing in the overall EV. The
correct strategy is somewhere in between.

The same analysis essentially applies for UX, substituting hit frequency
with multiplier potential.

Isn't it like Super Times Pay where once you have a multiplier, you still
play the hand the same as with no multiplier because all hands results are
subject to the same multiplier? The catch in Ultimate X is you are trying
to win something to get a multiplier on the next hand, kinda like trying to
advance to the next level in Multistrike.

I'm very curious how you calculated the Average Multiplier? That is much
closer to 2 than I would have guessed it would be (and 99.1520% is much
closer to optimal than I would have guessed).

35.30098 (in single coin bets, using the standard consistent with WinPoker).  I would have to do some research to calculate the skewness and/or kurtosis.  :-)

[vpFREE] XVP Vegas Car Rental Taxes

The Las Vegas tax rate is the highest in the USA. Over 100% if you
get a cheap rental and pick up at the airport. FYI- always double
your rental rate for a true idea of the cost.

Re: [vpFREE] Re: VegasInc: Station Casinos revamps Boarding Pass perks to entice gamblers

Could be because there are no benefits? Seriously though has anyone elses
points remained exactly the same? I earned close to 16000 points playing
live action poker at palace station with no multiplier and i did not recieve
a point "boost" that being said my points are now worth far less.

The card benefits chart is no longer on mystation.com when I login and click

I'll confirm that our upcoming Alamo rental for 10 days starting 9/27 is Including all taxes @ $222 for a nissan versa. Without taxes it was $112. Through Costco.

Alamo doesn't give us the hard sell on insurance albeit we now do take liability and charge to American Express which covers the other insurances for ~$30 no matter length of rental.

Used to be able to toke the car person $20 for an upgrade. And nowadays a lot people don't want bigger cars or its what is in the bigger car aisle if compacts are all out.
