[vpFREE] Re: Harrah's Diamond

No, you would have had to have the 11,000 by Dec. 31. Jan.1 starts a new tier year.

Sanity check... If I had done DIAD in September, then I should have until March 2013 to accrue 11K points right?

My last TR statement from 3/8 says I was a diamond, but I went to pick up a card at a Harrah's and I dropped down to Platinum. So did I need to do DIAD AND earn 11K to hold a diamond card until 2013, or is my understanding that my DIAD late last year is sufficient through 2013 correct?

Thanks.

[vpFREE] Need game advice

Hi,

longtime lurker here. I appreciate all the useful advice that I've read from the many excellent contributors. The best games at my home casino are $1 9/7DB, 98.91%DW, or 9/5JOB. With bounceback free-play and promos,
I calculated another 1% - 1 1/2% depending on the promo. I've been playing 9/7DB but the variance has sometimes been tough to swallow. I've got the strategy down for all 3 games except for penalty cards. Any recommendations on game selection?

Re: [vpFREE] Re: Harrah's Diamond/7 Star changes

DISCLAIMER: nothing in this message is an april fools joke.

it's worth mentioning that the opposite is true for *locals* at the rio.

if you have a vegas ID, all restaurants are 25% off. the normal buffet is 50% off and all show tickets are 2-for-1. these discounts apply to any/all purchases made with rewards points.

if you TXT the words
strip
rio (actually, nearly all the caesars LV property names work)
offers

you can get TXT discounts that you redeem at the rewards booth (regardless of where you're from). most of these are nothing more than weak forms of propaganda ("new members get 500 reward points!"), but some are good (2 for 1 seafood buffet). all these TXT discounts can be used for points instead of cash.

understandably, the caesars policy is not to double dip and use both forms if discount, but *rarely* at the rio I've been given both the TXT *and* the locals discount.

[vpFREE] vpFREE Posting Guidelines - 1 APR 2012

vpFREE Posting Guidelines - 1 APR 2012

http://www.west-point.org/users/usma1955/20228/V/POL_P.htm

1. Everyone should read and be familiar with the vpFREE
FAQ before posting messages on vpFREE Forums.

2. Every message's subject line should accurately identify
the content of the message, to facilitate faster navigation
by interested or uninterested members.

3. If you reply to a message and change the subject matter,
either start a new thread (preferable) with a new subject
line or rename the subject line to reflect its new focus.

4. When replying to messages, quote just enough of the
previous post to maintain continuity. Delete the rest of
the previous post.

5. When replying to messages, clearly differentiate the
previous message(s) from your comments, so that it will be
easy to identify who wrote what.

6. Never post lengthy copyrighted material verbatim without
permission. This includes posts from non-vpFREE internet
forums. Instead, post a link to the material and/or a
summary. Short, credited excerpts may be quoted.

7. Don't use any vpFREE member's real name, even their
first name, on any vpFREE forum unless they themselves use
their real name there.

8. As a spam prevention measure, no one can upload to the
Files Directory on the vpFREE home page unless they get
temporary upload access from the Administrator.

9. Casino personnel probably monitor vpFREE Groups so posts
containing sensitive information should take this into
consideration.

10. Members are expected to observe the rules of
Netiquette , and to practice politeness and show good taste
in their vpFREE posts.

11. Any post that disagrees with vpFREE Dogma and
reaches contradictory conclusions, should be supported with
significant, persuasive documentation. Generalizations and
limited anecdotal evidence aren't persuasive.

12. Most vpFREE members rely on the forum for accurate
information, and may misunderstand, misinterpret or be
confused by tongue-in-cheek posts which are presented as
fact. Always make it very clear in your posts if they are
tongue-in-cheek, by using "smilies", stating that you're
kidding or something similar.

13. Use FREEvpFREE for any political, religious, or smoking
vs. non-smoking discussions. Non-partisan status reports
about smoking and non-smoking availability in casinos are OK
on vpFREE.

14. If you have Yahoo administrative problems, send a
private email to the Administrator, after you have checked
the vpFREE Yahoo! Administrative Problems Directory.

15. Let the Administrator do the administrating. Send any
comments, questions, suggestions or disagreements about
vpFREE policies or procedures to the Administrator via
private email or post them on FREEvpFREE.

[vpFREE] LVA Question of the Day - 1 APR 2012

LVA Question of the Day - 1 APR 2012

Q: I often hear about a "line pass". What is it? What does
it do? How do you get it? Is it for nightclubs or buffets? I
come to Vegas at least twice a year and hate to be missing
out on something I could use. Thanks, and I love this
feature.

[vpFREE] Re: Harrah's Cherokee

I live 25 miles from Harrahs Cherokee and go there 2-3 times a month and get a free room usually.
The best quarter VP are 10 Game Kings in the middle of the non smoking
with 8/5 JB with 30 for a four of a kind and labeled bonus poker. These same machines also have 9/5 DDB. There are also 10 more in the newest section near the new gift shop. The best dollar VP is in the temporary high limit area with 6 uprights with 7/5 Bonus and 9/5 DDB. These same machines have $5 dollar full pay 9/6 JB, 8/5 BP, 9/6 DDB
