This is an eBook I found at Amazon. The author's name is Advantage Player. It's a fictional tale written by this so called advantage player. The book is a monument calling oneself an advantage player and being one is two different stories. The author is technically correct about payback percentages. Bob Dancer's name is even mentioned. But the rest is total garbage. The hero plays games in the 94 to 98% range. Does not use a card in most places. And there is nothing about working promotions. But this hero makes a lot of money playing video poker. I only squandered $3 on the book.

For some reason about half my post on this subject didn't get through. The Virginia Street Bridge was made famous in the movie The Misfits. And many people today believe the legend about divorcee's throwing their rings into the from the bridge is a myth. The story around Reno was the late Hans "Tuna" Lund funded an operation to retrieve rings from the river years ago.

It's been thoroughly established that the double-up option is "self contained" within the original game wager -- it's not considered to be an additional wager, doesn't factor into points earned, nor theo/comps.

Obviously the double bet must factor into win/loss accounting, but seems to be ignored for all other purposes.

What about casinos that use "theo" in deciding comps ? First thought is might be an advantage for a tourist like myself if they count the double up bet as coin in as they do on the original bet .

To my knowledge, these are all in place (last visit 3/31). However, the only multiline games permitting single line play at a "full coin" wager are 50-p, 100-p, and some SP.

So, in short, no - you can't play 3/5/10 play with a single line wager and get the "full pay" payout.

Can anyone confirm that the 3/5/10 play $5 JOB still exist at Harrah's in Tahoe? If so can you play single line only?
