[vpFREE] Re: [xvpFREE] Re-Opening of other casinos in Vegas

Miss Craps--again--thanks for the very informative report.  I have to admit that I prefer the midweek
lower attendance gambling.  We come from out-of-town and feel safe and comfortable with the closest
person 10-20 feet away!  The drive in folks can have the weekends!  Also, we noticed that the Center
bar at the Luxor was open when we were there.  Due to the way it is laid out--they can block off most of
the entrances to it and monitor those coming in.  There's many tables etc to seat people at and are well
spaced out.. . . .just an FYI.  Also, folks that are concerned about their safety could try Harrah's Laughlin.
They are also very thorough about their Covid procedures.  Last thot--I really miss the Diamond/Laurel
Lounges.  With most of the bars in the casinos closed down--there's really no place to SIT and just have
a drink!  I understand that spacing in the Diamond/Laurel Lounges encompasses most of the challenges
to not opening them--but hey!  How about moving it temporarily to a ball room or other such type of room?
They're certainly not getting that type of business now and they could space out tables far enough to
in these rooms to satisfy even the pickiest Covid stress-er. Just a thought. . . Jean H

Cromwell, Rio, Planet Hollywood, and other Vegas casinos that are currently closed probably will remain closed until the virus cases get a lot lower and more people travel to Vegas. Right now many of the ones that are open are apparently struggling because of a combination of low attendance, higher maintenance costs (all that hand sanitizer etc), illness of a few workers, etc. Weekends apparently are not too bad, but weekdays are slow both for gaming and room occupancy. Some restaurants that opened are now having reduced hours. Bars are also closed, and booze is always a good income source. It won't surprise me if some of the casinos that are now open close down again if Covid cases continue to increase.
