Hi everyone,
I just wanted to invite everyone on vpFREE to join us for a casual, low stakes Texas Hold'Em poker home game in the Northwest part of Las Vegas (Centennial Hills). I host the game at my place as my schedule allows. It is open to players of all skill levels who are looking for a casual, friendly game, as well as a place to meet and socialize with other people who are interested in poker. We usually play single table bounty tournaments with buy-ins from $25 or 25/50 cent cash games with buy-ins from $20-100.
The idea is to keep the atmosphere casual and drama-free, and low stakes enough so it's beginner-friendly as well. However, I'm open to spreading different stakes at any particular game if everyone agrees. And, of course, it's rake-free...something that all AP's should like, right? :)
All of you are welcome, whether you're a local or will be just visiting!! It might be a good way to meet some of your fellow vpFREE'ers, too. :)
To learn more about the group, or to join so you can be notified of upcoming games, just go here:

Cheers,
Nathan

Can anyone provide recent reports on the Tropicana? My host is switching to
that property and I would love any first hand recent reports. Thanks.

[vpFREE] Re: Riviera $1000 Sign Up Promo
Does anyone know whether the Riviera offer is literally "slots" (no vp) or if they really mean "machines" (vp included)?

[vpFREE] This week on Gambling with an Edge
This Thursday's guest will be former co-host Richard
Munchkin. During the months we did the show together, Munch and I often went
out to dinner before or afterwards. He'd tell story after story from his
40-year gambling career. He is a wonderful storyteller. Some have already made it on the air --- but we'll get
into more this week.
Like when he had an offer that maybe he couldn't refuse from
the Chechan mob --- which happened to own a casino that he won big at. Or when
blackjack players got into a disagreement about money, they'd form a
"court" of other players to decide who owed whom what. One of these
stories still has me laughing 4 months after I first heard it. And since his
book Gambling
Wizards --- Conversations with the World's Greatest Gamblers is so
interesting, it wouldn't surprise me if we asked a question or two about that
as well.
In addition, one of our listeners wrote in to ask Mike Shackleford's
and my opinion of the game Dream Card.
GWAE may be heard live Thursday evenings from 7-8 in Las
Vegas on 1230 AM or from www.klav1230am.com
from anywhere. The shows are archived the next day on bobdancer.com. You may
subscribe for free from iTunes to get the podcasts delivered to your device. Bob
