[vpFREE] Re: Palms Mystery Multiplier

Yes, your explanation is very clear at least to me.

I believe the confusion started when we were originally told that the
base + bonus could not exceed 40k. In that case with a 3x multiplier,
you could only play 13,333 points to get them all multiplied. 13,333
base + 26,667 bonus = 40,000. Luckily I got a 3x multiplier and proved
this wrong.

From: 'Queen of Comps'

Do I finally have this right – and, if so, does this make things at
least half-way clear???

------------------------------

The "mystery multiplier" promotion which the Palms runs off and on has
caused some confusion because of the "40K maximum bonus" rule. If it
is a "mystery multiplier" day, you will swipe and get your mystery
multiplier which, if you plan to use on slots, can be up to 15x and
there is no bonus limit.

The problem comes if you plan to play video poker. First, you will
only get a 2x or 3x multiplier (nothing higher) and there is a 40k
maximum bonus. It is easiest to understand this if you distinguish
between "base" points and "bonus points." First, you earn "base"
points that accumulate as you play - $1 coin-in earns one point. Then
later the casino will add your bonus points, but that bonus can never
be more than 40K.

Here are some examples of possible scenarios:

You play 10K coin-in and have a 2x multiplier, the casino will add 10k
so you have a total of 20k (base+bonus= 2x)

You play 10K coin-in and have a 3x multiplier, the casino will add 20K
so you have a total of 30k (base+bonus=3x)

You play 20K and have a 2x, the casino will add 20k so you have a total of 40K.

You play 20K and have a 3x, the casino will add 40K so you have a total of 60K.

Now here is where it gets complicated:

You play 30k and have a 2x, the casino will add 30k for a total of 60K

You play 30k and have a 3x, the casino will add only 40K(maximum
bonus) for a total of 70K

You play 40k, it doesn't matter if you have a 2x or 3x; you will get
added only the maximum bonus of 40K for a total of 80K.

[vpFREE] Possible NOLA Downgrades

I was at Harrah's New Orleans recently. Great time.

HOWEVER, I went to the casino at 2:30 a.m. on Monday morning, February 22, and the six 3/5/10 Play $1 Video Poker machines in High Limit were all "Out of Service". I never could find anyone (slot tech or slot attendant) to question.

Came back at 9:15 a.m. later that morning and all six machines were still "Out of Service". They all seemed to be working fine Sunday evening. Hope someone can check and verify whether the games were changed.

The only games above 99% I could find available in the High Limit room were the two $100 machines with 9/6 JOB. Have at it.

Re: [vpFREE] Harrah's Reno VP Downgrades

There is .25 8/5 BP along the wall opposite the Japanese steakhouse. Was
there last week. Only thing even nearly playable. We were on a 5 day, air
included offer so I played it a little so as to not totally stiff them.

Blackjack is a total waste - nothing worth playing. There was one decent
one card poker dealer.

Tips to keep private email addresses out of the hands of spammers:
1. Avoid giving your or anyone else's email address to any web site.
2. Instead of forwarding email, cut and paste the text or edit to remove
addresses.
3. For group emails, use the "bcc:" (Blind Carbon Copy) field instead of
"to:".
(Put your own address or a fake address in the "to:" field).
4. Want to do more? Attach this text as a custom signature to the bottom of
all your outgoing email.

Earlier this month my wife and I stayed at Harrah's in Reno and found that
all of the 9/6 Jacks games were gone. All of the $2 8/5 Bonus were also
gone. The only play in the over 90% range we could find was the $1 8/5
Bonus Poker progressive on the bridge. Another fun CET destination bites
the dust !

[vpFREE] Gold Coast Shuttle

I have heard that the Gold Coast/Orleans Shuttle to and from the Strip is to be moved again, as far as the Strip drop-off and pick-up point goes. Now at the turn-around under the Planet Hollywood "pillar", near the Forum, it is said that it will move somewhere east of the Linq ferris-wheel. Has anyone else heard of this and maybe have more definite information as to where the stop is being moved to? Again, I hear that it is to commence March 1.
