Doubtful. These were nice folks, but not very bright. I took what they said at face value. I suppose it's possible I was successfully hoodwinked --- but if I were a betting man I'd put the odds against that at at least 100-1.

Sorry, Harry - I made a gross misread of your post.  I took it to mean that there was only one machine (in the entire casino) that had only one particular game with a 99%+ paytable (i.e., all other games available were below 99%).  This is why I shouldn't be reading the forum at work!!

It's like raising price of all you can eat chicken 25%.  Really good profit for chicken joint.... till everyone catches on to the new price.  Keep raising prices and joint goes out of business.  I like chicken and wife likes more expensive food.   In the end run they lose 2 customers. 


So?  Lower BP pay tables raises my price to play.   Casino turns really good profit.  I catch on. They tighten up more. I play less.  I like Bonus and my wife plays VP & slots.  They  lose 2 customers.  +2% casino "win" is too much, in my opinion.   Loss of customers exponentially raise till bankruptcy. 

Everyone likes a deal or at least a fair game.  Keep skinning the customer and lose.  Ain't much fun anymore.

With exception of Vegas not much opportunity for pro or recreational player.

You lost me. Are you trying to claim that if a casino has one machine with FPDW that there might not be a bank of NSUD (good play) in the same casino that draws players?

If I were to have just one wish granted for Christmas, it would be that any 99%+ paytable, present on only one machine in a given casino, would be automatically excluded from the vpfree2 database for that casino.

Obviously, presence of a game on a single machine hardly necessarily signals an unintentional (i.e. mistaken) install.  However, much better to err on the side of caution.

Any resourceful player, if drawn to the casino by other good plays, will likely find the machine in question via word of mouth.  No need for vpfree2 to be an encyclopedia of every good play.  It's a valued resource without the inclusion of "endangered species".
