That's definitely true johnny. I learned that in ~2003 when Harrah's STL used to have full-pay pick 'em for quarters. I failed to get a quad before it got yanked. I probably played at least a couple thousand hands too. Ironically, I finally did get a quad in pick 'em last year when I was showing a friend how to play video poker. But I was playing nickels because the paytable was crap...grrrr
PE is a funny game. Even though the long test variance is fairly low, you can lose a ton on money between quads ( about every 2300 hands). Dunbar's program will show you that you should not give up the day job for this play.

haaljo - how did you even get to this search page?
Advanced Search
The new format continues to be a PIA, IMO. In answer to your question, think you first have to search for a particular word. The results page includes an advanced search icon:
Advanced Search
it seems that, in the new format, you can only search for prior messages by entering the message #. Anyone have any idea on what happened to the "Advance Search" feature, whereby you could search based on author; subject; text within the post; etc.? I've had no luck finding info in the Help section.
Thanks for any assistance.

The Wizard has discussed slot machines with regards to similar inference. My anecdotal evidence is with "quick strikes" and the "free game" bonus round matrix. The total matrix is revealed after the player has made their picks.A close family member berates a certain individual as the latter does not make careful choices during # picks. The latter explains to their lovely close family member that.the game's "win" is determined at the pushing of the bet (deal) button. The former does not believe this is true and wise choices are necessary.Who's right?(Side note: 3% of our action/trip is on slot machines mostly quick strike. Attempt to stay under radar.)

progressives at Station Casinos. According to him, the Gaming
Commission wasn't interested in the fact that their progressive Bingo
cards weren't "fair." I can vouch for the fact that there are other
Bingo progressives that still have this characteristic.

Even with only 3 choices, NEVER get the $1000 cash or truck or such. Is the game rigged so you get what casino has decided in advance? Is this fair? Should gaming commission look into it? Thoughts?

The place still has bathroom attendants, one of them was talking about Sinatra giving him a $5 tip. The hotels are in the process of getting massive real estate tax abatements so maybe that will flip them into the black.
The jazz brunches at Ono were nice with a pleasant ocean view.
