I can never figure out the relationship between land-based casinos and cruise lines.
I once got an offer (granted this was some years back) from Carnival offering me as I recall 3 or 4 nights at the Venetian, a free gourmet dinner and show, and $750 free slot play. I was a fairly low-level player back then. My wife got the same deal, except with $250 FSP. We had been on a Carnival cruise a month or two before this, gave them some play in the casino, but nothing that you'd consider meriting $250 FSP, much less the $750.

I was able to tie this together with a trip to one of the CET hotels, I believe Caesars itself, from my AC play at Caesars, and we had a great week in Vegas. What Carnival got out of it, or Venetian, I've been wondering ever since.

  I have hardly played anything at Stations but was surprised to get a free cruise offer via mail this week. Although only Inside, considering I had played next to nothing it was surprising. Does anyone know what triggers this -- how much play? Is it triggered by a w2? Some friends who play there weekly didnt get one so I am confused.

[vpFREE] El Capitan Database Update

 

Visited the El Capitan Casino in Hawthorne Nevada for the first time today. They do have a slot club with point multipliers advertised. I didn't check for club benefits.

Scattered around casino were several machines with $1 9/7 DB, 8/6 BPD, 9/6 DDB, 9/5 JoB. I saw one machine near the door with $1 NSUD. The bar is all progressives, at a quick glance the best game looked to be $1 8/6 BPD. I didn't check lower denominations.

I also booked Mexico today! I upgraded to a mini-suite for $700 a
person. I have cruised Princess several times in the past and enjoyed
cruising with them. I was thinking of going on a cruise anyway so it
was an opportune comp.

I gamble at Red Rock frequently, though I am an out of towner. I am a
President's level at the slot club. I believe this is the first year
that Stations have hosted cruises.

There are some exceptions, being Canadian is one of them as Canada has no tax on gambling. As a generality, if you don't divulge ID, the casino will withhold taxes, which you can apply for later from the IRS.

I don't think you mentioned it in your article, but another reason to protect your identity is to protect yourself from casino malfeasance. And of course in these days of rampant identity theft, it's a good idea to take steps to protect yourself from identity theft in any case. When someone other than Social Security or the IRS asks for your Social Security number, you should think twice about just divulging such information.

I figured out it isnt just because you are a 7 star because my husband didn't get it. But my play was totally minimal at Stations. I just booked it for 7 day Mexico, an obstructed oceanview handicapped cabin for $60 plus $92 port taxes pp. You also pay $100 deposit which is returned in cash by casino cage. Also they will give you a VIP casino membership for free drinks in the casino, similar to the NCL offers. The free inside cabin offer I got could also be upgraded to balcony for $300 a person or $100 for oceanview (my upgrade was $60 because it is obstructed view) for the 7 day Mexico.

I am sick of NCL actually. We loved Princess when we went on it some years ago, so I am looking forward to Princess.

Also have $5 9/6 JoB at bar.

Machines on floor have 50c/$1 9/6 JB, 9/7 DB, and pNSUD identical to Cal Neva. Apparently there is some affiliation because sign at Cal Neva slot club says you can use comps for food at Siri's. Siri's machines have no card readers that I could see so apparently there is no slot club.

Several banks with 50c/$1 9/7 Double Bonus and pNSUD. All the $1 Bonus Poker I checked were 7/5, so the 8/5 reported may no longer be accurate, but I didn't check every bank.
