Two things you need to be careful about:

1) Every day, you have a shorter window for your free play. Let's say you
join the club at 1pm on Monday and lose $500 by 6pm. Then you go to the
desk and tell them you lost it. After they confirm that, they give you a
card telling you that you can come back Tuesday and Wednesday from 6pm to
midnight to get $250 of that free play for each day. If you come back
Tuesday at 9pm, then that will also restrict when you can come back on
Wednesday. You can only get the other $250 of free play Wednesday 9pm to
midnight.

2) They ask you if you want to play your free play on machines or table
games. We chose machines, but we ended up regretting that. Almost all of
the video poker machines in the casino are disabled for free play. So if
you get the machines, you have the choice between reels, video keno, and
very bad video poker (~95%) at an uncomfortable bar with too much light. We
asked for table games chips the next day, but they said you can't change
your mind for the second day and you may only get the same kind you got on
the first day. So, if you choose machines, look at those 95% machines first
and have their strategies ready for the day after.

There may also be a gotcha for the table chips: they may be the kind of
chips that you lose either way, win or lose. If you want to choose them,
make sure you understand the exact rules before asking for the table games
chips, and make sure you choose the right table game for the kind of chip
they give you. (And please update us here if you chose the chips.)

[vpFREE] Suncoast Senior Day Point Multipier

I have just observed that Suncoast Casino senior point multiplier game, which used to have a maximum VP point multiplier of 30X now maxes out at 10X The max for slots is still 50X however it is just that the VP options are MUCH less generous. Sam's Town still has a max possible of 30X however. It sure is hard to see all the multipliers possible since they flash on the screen for about 1 second.

[vpFREE] Boyd Gaming point multipliers

Does anyone know for sure whether or not senior day (wednesday) at Boyd properties mystery multiplier game (that you chose from 6 blocks on the screen) truly randomly assigns multipliers which go as high as 50X points for slots?. There is always a 50X points block showing after you make your choice but my experience is that I do not get that award anywhere near 1 out of 6 times as odds would suggest.

[vpFREE] New Member Promos in Vegas

I haven't been tracking these recently, but now granddaughter Kaity is 21 and will be in town next week and this would be a fun thing to do with her. I would appreciate any input from people who have actually done any of these in the last year – and advice about the "good" ones and those that aren't worth the effort.

The one at the Plaza looks good ($500 loss rebate). Any wrinkles in it I should be aware of? I know you do it one day and have to go back the next two days to get the full rebate.

Appreciate any help!!!!!

[vpFREE] XVP: The Free State of Jones

When I first seen the trailers for this movie I automatically knew what it was going to be about. I'm a genealogist. In press releases I was surprised to see that my cousin, Wyatt Moulds, Professor of History at Jones County Junior College in Ellisville, Mississippi was the technical and historical adviser to the movie.

My mother's side of the family is from Jasper County, next door to Jones County. Wyatt had stated in a press release that Newton Knight, the ringleader of the Jones County Rebellion during the Civil Was was a cousin of his. Yesterday I did the research to see how those of us, the grandchildren of Luna Moulds Reynolds, may be related to Newton.

We are not blood related to Newton Knight. He is technically described as "the 1st cousin, 3 generations removed, of the wife of our great-uncle, Wyatt Benjamin "Dub" Moulds (1915-1982).

Uncle Dub's wife was Reba Gail Sims (1924-2000). She was the 3x great-granddaughter of John Jackie Knight (1774-1861). Newton Knight was a grandson of J.J. Knight.

Newton Knight had at least 5 kids by his black 2nd wife, Rachel. J.J. Knight was the former owner of Rachel. This means that my Aunt Reba had cousins of mixed race. This was something that was not talked about by the elders in my family.

Newton's mixed race kids were not liked by the black or the whites. They lived in seclusion in Jones County. They were protected as long as Newton lived. Everyone knew that Newton would get your ass if you messed with his kids. He was one bad dude. He once helped to build a school but when they wouldn't let his mixed race kids attend he promptly burned it down. Thins changed after his death. Many of his mixed race descendents could pass for white but had to leave the county to do it because everyone around there knew who they were.
