[vpFREE] Re: The 14%'er

Mickey: I'm a little confused on what you're doing with this play. You said "I'm only making about $500 an hour in action. If I was on my case $1000 I'd take it to this play."

I think earlier you said a player can only play 50c/hand and that you play around 1000 hph. 1000 hph is $500 worth of action each hour, right? So you're profitting the same amount that you run thru the machines every hour?

I'm confused by which hotel you are talking about. Do you mean the Grand Hotel in Biloxi or the Palace Casino Resort? To the best of my knowledge there is no Grand Palace Casino.

I guess we'll have to see how it all play's out. If Revel is mobbed, other's will follow suit. The big question is how many non-smoker's don't go to the casino's at all becus they cant stand the smoke.
Revel isnt the first. The Grand Palace in Biluxi, Miss. announced today they'll go smoke-free when they reopen after some renovation's.

The concept of preserving a play for three years is strange to the majority of the vpFREE population.

Silver - Lowest level

Gold - 20,000 points ($100,000 coin-in on vp) in 12 months

Platinum - 80,000 points ($400,000 coin-in on vp) in 12 months

You can get a list of the benefits for each level from the club. I don't have one here.

[vpFREE] Silverton Multiple-Point Days

<<The 2x points on Saturdays are player specific. I have 2x points on 6/11
and 6/25, while Mrs. Don has 2x points on 6/4 and 6/18.>>

Good to know that. Since Brad and I had the same dates, I didn't think
about any other way. Is this the first month for this - or has it varied
in previous months?

Do I assume correctly that the 5x/2x on the 19th, Father's Day, is open to
the public???

[vpFREE] Silverton Peel Tabs

<<I got $50 free play for 10k points...anybody doing any better or has this
been severely downgraded.>>

I got $50 and Brad got $25 for 10K. Some of the people who played 1K got
meal banana holders. There were complaints!!!!! :)

As far as the free peel tabs received in the mail, they must have sent these
to everyone who has ever played at Silverton! The regular line at the slot
club was extremely long. We had a bit of a wait even in the VIP line for
the two top tiers, Diamond and Platinum.

However, that short wait was really worth it for us yesterday. My free peel
tab revealed $400 in free play, close to the $500 I was told was the max.
Brad scored only $100, which surprised us since he receives a slightly
higher monthly mailer than I do.

However, overall it seems the free peel tabs tend to be in a higher range if
you get the higher mailers. Someone who gets lower mailers seem to get much
less valuable prizes. And, logically, the prizes on the earned peel tabs
get more valuable as you go up to earning at high levels. But again there
is a range for each of the 3 levels.

[vpFREE] Update Re: Casino MonteLago

I was hoping this place was going to be good. I hung out at the old Montelago several times a week and loved the place. The new casino just doesn't do it for me. The games aren't there and its too lit up. The cocktail service was horrible but that could be due to lack of experience. I doubt the crowds had anything to do with it since there were 3 waitresses for that tiny place. I ran to a few other locals that weren't impressed there. It feels like an upscale neighborhood slot parlor and doesnt have the Vegas Casino appeal.

[vpFREE] Re: The 14%'er

I can tell you a couple of funny stories about the play. I'll start with this one. At one time I had a slew of joints where the Aces Full meter started at $75. It's about a 5.5% chop from the 14%er, but still a strong play.

One time, right here in Great Falls, I had a joint that had a linked bank of Jackpot Aces, six machines, where the Aces Full meter started at $75. There was a nice couple that also played the game. He would even come in sometimes on his lunch break. They were smart enough to play the game but they didn't know diddly about how to play it. They were also slower than molasses. They just didn't get out very many hands per hour.

I hated playing next to them because I didn't want them to pick up on my strategy. Theres some weird moves in the game, like holding an Ace Kicker with a Pair. So the guy is friends with the owner of the joint. And the owner also had 4 other joints in town. One day I'm playing when the guy comes in and we start talking. He tells me

"You know, I was talking with the owner and told him he should have the Aces Full starting at $75 in all his casinos."
"What did he say" I asked.
"He had them changed, already."
"In all the other joints?"
"Yeah."

I hit the cash out button. I went and checked the other joints. Sure enough. So I started running a route on them. I even put my girlfriend at the time, Toni, in action. I have lots of friends in Great Falls. They all know I'm a professional gambler. They also know that I won't tell them jackall about it. Toni is the only one who has ever seen me in action. She doesn't know jacksquat about video poker, and she's slower than molasses. But she told everyone at the bar "Mickey is a magic man. He puts a little money in a machine and the machine just starts coughing up lots of money." I laughed my ass off.

So one day I walk into one of the joints and the Aces Full meter was at $10. Damn! So I went to the other joints and sure enough the play was dead. The last one I went to was where the play originally started. There was the guy sitting there.

"What happened" I asked
"The owner chewed my ass out."
"How come?"
"He told me he lost thousands. He blamed me. I didn't win anything."
"Okay, well, nice talkin' to ya. I gotta go."

A couple of years ago Toni got the red ass at me and dumped me on my ass. This is funny, Frank. She took up with a guy that worked at the milk company. That didn't work too well for her. It didn't last to long. Then she came back beating her eyelashes at me again. Sorry girl. When you play, you pay.

I ran into her again last night. Sorry girl. You like these broke ass Great Falls bums. You like the milkman. So have at it, girl. Git you all you want. But don't come around here messin' with the winners. Cause you ain't no winner, girl.

One of these days I might let her back in the door.
