[vpFREE] Re: Hands per hour

Gosh, I thought this story had finally died out. Please keep in mind that was a few years ago...I'm old and slow now, and no longer try to play fast.

For most people trying to play too fast is a really great way to give up accuracy. To anyone reading this, please concentrate only on accuracy and let your speed increase naturally, it should never be a goal.

When I trained, it was to play in speed tournaments and I had a good reason to do so. That reason no longer exists. For me, playing really quick meant about an extra $60,000 a year.

Now, being a fast player just gets you noticed more by casinos and could actually cost a person money.

Cheers all,

~FK

The good news is, until that time we are still getting cashback or comps which varies by machine PLUS free play which is a standard 0.1% on all the video poker machines I checked. After May 1st, it isn't clear what we will earn. I fear it will be just 0.1% free play or comps.
>

According to a boothling today, starting May 1st we will get free play AND comp dollars. Apparently not all video poker games are giving 0.1% free play because I found one today that was only giving 0.06% in addition to 0.16% comps. New brochures are available with new tier requirements and benefits. According to rules, comps and free play will now only be good for 6 months FROM DATE EARNED.

[vpFREE] Re: [acvpp] REPORTING GAMING ON INCOME TAX

<<I did have one 2000 dollar hit>>

You MUST include that in your income. There is a 99.9% possibility that if you don't you will receive a bill from the IRS that includes interest and penalties. If you itemize, you can write off $2000 in losses. If you don't itemize, you will just have to accept the fact that it is part of your income and you will be taxed on it with the rest of your income.

[vpFREE] Come on Down to South Point

Bob's going to be sharing the stage with me today, when I give a class in calculating "The Cost of a Royal" & discuss tracking your theoretical earn.

I haven't decided yet if I'm going to do the presentation in the style of a motivational speaker, TV evangelist, or Scottish Lord. I guess I'll play it by ear.

Hope I can get over my inherent shyness.

Well that's what I thought was the idea, but the first article incorrectly saying that there could be "no more than 8 machines" confused me. I guess they were in a hurry to get to press.

Interestingly, this was a Clark County ruling, and I believe Dotty's has places in other areas of Nevada. Looking forward to following this saga for the next two years.

Thanks!
